This album lowkenuinely made me sad. I love Crystal Lake, love their albums Helix, The Sign, Into the Great Beyond, etc. I have even seen them perform live twice. Rough around the edges, but Jack is able to establish a unique sound on this record. In retrospect, this project was necessary to lay the groundwork for HiLo, and is one of the reasons it succeeded in its sound so well. The Alpha approves πΊπΊπΊπΊ
Does not make the alpha happy. Not good for the full moon ππΊ
Was obsessed with this record in 2019-2020, and glad to know it still holds up. Raising a glass of clear milk to you, Jack.
There's a lot to like with this album. I'd say this defined Make Them Suffer's sound in the extreme metal/death metal landscape. They are definitely a standout band, offering unique vocals and emotionally hard-hitting lyrics in the midst of chaotic instrumentals on this album. I just wish this project was longer. One of the songs of all time. You know there's a problem when it immediately gets stuck in your head and makes you want to scream.
Really, really good. One of the most unique album experiences to ever hit the music market. A must-listen for sure.
This song is 'Dallas' from the First Glass Beach Album, but on steroids. Absolutely fantastic lyricism and instrumental.
