An amazing, complex and interesting album that still doesn't get old with each listen. Is it long? Yes. Does it take it's time? Yes. Is it worth it? Most certainly. This is up there with their best. Overall, amazing. Favourite tracks: Fear Inoculum, Pneuma, Descending, Culling Voices. Worst track: Chocolate Chip Trip.
This isn't a good album. It was written in 6 weeks and you really can tell. Whilst there are some good songs, the bad production and filler tracks dispersed on the album really make it an unenjoyable listen. Also TERRIBLE album cover c'mon man. Overall, meh. Favourite tracks: You're In Love With A Psycho, Wasted, The Party Never Ends, All Through the Night.. Worst tracks: Good Fight, Twentyfourseven, Bless This Acid House.
48:13 is a strange one. Whilst it contains some of my absolute favourite songs by the band (treat, glass, bow), it also contains a couple unlistenable ones (doomsday I'm looking at you). Its a weird experiment of electronic psyche that struggles to find its identity i think. Overall, good. Favourite tracks: stevie, treat, glass, bow. Worst tracks: doomsday, eez-eh.
Ok this is my personal favourite from them. Velociraptor! takes and continues what West Ryder did with the sort of psychedelic almost 70s sound and does it really well. There is also a couple electronic tracks on here with are genuinely great. Overall, great. Favourite tracks: La Fee Verte, Switchblade Smiles, Neon Noon. Worst track: Man of Simple Pleasures.
Whilst not my absolute favourite from them, West Ryder is easily their magnum opus. Its a great display of everything that makes Kasabian (huge banging tunes and psychedelic deep cuts) intertwined with some amazing production. Serge really found a great sound with this. Overall, great. Favourite tracks: Take Aim, West Ryder Silver Bullet, Vlad the Impaler, Secret Alphabets. Worst track: Fire.
