A great and surprising little EP. It gives a Windmill Scene album vibe in particular thanks to the eccentric and peculiar vocals and by the extreme progressivity of the instrumentation, with some krautrocky and entrancing parts in between, all seasoned with a great latin taste.

Day 9/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull album before going to see them live
One of Tull's best albums for sure. This album is a more dry and focused prog experience compared to the rest, songwriting is more pragmatic and direct with great jams and switchups while retaining and enhancing their beautiful lush folk atmosphere. As good as Aqualung, what lacks in possibly peak moments, gains in consistency and straightforwardness.

Day 8/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull before going to see them live
Ian going strong even at 78 years old, for sure not too old to rock and roll yet! Probably their safest and most conventional album up to now, a few great tracks along the way but most of them didn't leave an impression at all. Their worst album yet but that's not saying much, still a pretty good one!
Best Track: Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die
Worst Track: Pied Piper

Day 8/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull before going to see them live
Their most consistent album in their discography up to this point, maybe not their most exciting or impressive but one that you want to listen front to back. The usual whimiscal and lush Tull composition is complemented by more psychedelic and hard rock sections reminiscing of the early albums, in particular Stand Up. Just below TAAB and Aqualung but comfortably their third best record so far.

Day 7/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull before going to see them live
A mixed bag of great unique prog songs and some more safe or uninteresting songs, once again a solid album by Jethro Tull but probably their weakest so far
Best Track: Bungle in the Jungle
Worst Track: Only Solitaire

Day 6/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull before going to see them live
This is just more watered down, but still great, version of Thick As A Brick, the transition are less impressive, songwriting is more inconsistent, the tracks feel more inconclusive but we get still some awesome prog moments, sometimes even better than it's predecessor. The most glaring example of the inconsistency of this album comes from the first third of Part II. The first 4:20 minutes of that song are by far the ... read more
Day 5/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull before going to see them live
Ok there is a lot to digest here, they really amped up that prog slider to the max! I start by saying that this album features the best iteration of the more whimsical and jovial folk Tull so far, more refined playful and personal compared to their other albums. Part one is the most rich of the two distinguished by insanely complex song structuring, entertaining switchups and seamless transitions, the keyboards are the ... read more
Day 4/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull album before going to see them live
Finally Jethro Tull manage to gather together all the good ideas from their first 3 albums and create an incredibly whimsical and lush but also complex and, where needed, heavy album. Once again I'm hooked mostly by their most proggy tracks, in particular the title track, featuring extremely varied but consistent songwriting, spacing between heavy and sweet compositions. Another absolute stand out was "My ... read more
Day 3/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull album before going to see them live
Their most forgettable record so far, possibly the reduced use of the flute plays a part in it, as it's Tull's signature, saved by a few more enjoyable proggier tracks such as "To Cry you a A Song", "Play In Time", "Sossity". These first two track in particular feature more experimentation and creativeness in terms of song structure compared to their previous releases but ... read more
Day 2/23 of listening to every Jethro Tull album before going to see them live
Stand Up is an improvement over their debut album, featuring a more varied sound comprising more whimsical elements and psychedelic compositions. The highlights were in fact the flute and guitar, in particular in the song "We Used To Know" (which seems like their most "Jethro Tull" sounding song up to this point in their discography) creating together an incredible alternating solo.

Day 1/23 of listening to a Jethro Tull Album before going to see them live.
I've got something to confess. I'm a massive prog fan but I never did a thorough deep dive of Tull's discography. It's time to change that before I go to their concert and I get exposed as a poser hard!
Their first album is comprised of mostly good but pretty standard blues rock songs but also by more creative and proggy compositions such as Beggar's Farm, Dharma For One, Cat's Squirrel. ... read more
100% PURE UNCUT SAHARA GUITAR
A good groovy and energetic record that insists on repetition and layering to create an entrancing experience. My only gripe is that once the unique and interesting intros for each song end basically every track sounds the same to me
Best Track: Amidinine
Worst Track Adounia
Album Cover: 7/10
Intricate, eclectic and moody compositions, incredible and satisfying switch ups, extensive experimentation, otherwordly and psychedelic sounds, soulful but technical instrumentation, this album has it all.
Best Track: Slightly All The Time
Worst Track: Facelift
Album Cover: 6.5/10
A good album characterized by the classic distorted psychedelic guitars and a steady and repetitive rhythm but with a great deserty taste. The title is by far the best one, the rest of the album was great but sometimes it's a bit of a drag and kinda boring
Best Track: Afrique Victime
Worst Track: Untitled

Altin Gün never disappoints, this time mixing Anatolian rock with a more pronounced Krautrock taste
Ottimo album con influenze Jazz e Funk e con una produzione incredibile

This album is why I love King Gizz. Imagine putting out a western audiobook as your sophomore album after two very energetic and carefree garage rock records, that's uniquely Gizz! BTW incredible narration by Broderick Smith, very cinematic and engaging and I love the old movie aesthethic given to his voice, very coarse and raw. The atmosphere and worldbuilding is phenomenal, created by this very prominent and dirty guitar tones, pressing and galopping drums, harmonicas, whistling, old ... read more
Just slightly weaker than Plan 75, but still an incredible EP by The Orchestra (For Now). Unpredictable bursting chaotic switch ups happening all the time with more soulful and calm compositions in between, but probably this last ones and their most straight forward songs Amsterdam and the closer were the highlights of this project.
Best Track: Amsterdam
Worst Track: The Administration
Album Cover: 7/10
A more refined version of their debut EP with more fun and energetic tracks and experimentation with different genres like western and boogie. Considering this was recorded inside a garage with old iPhones mics the production is actually quite nice and fitting for the kind of album they did.
Best Track: Sam Cherry's Last Shot
Worst Track: Bloody Ripper
Album Cover: 10/10 (There's going to be a lot of KGATLW 10/10 covers)
Such an incredibly atmospheric and moody album that ranges between distressing, heartbreaking and sad, alien and otherworldy, energetic and entrancing, with all the in between. Some of the tracks in the middle were a bit less inspired but overall an incredible album full of personality
Best Track: Cop Shoot Cop
Worst Track: The Individual
