Expected a more wholesome nostalgic experience. But I walked away understanding why the hits were hits and the rest were non-existent. Also a lot of the songs have an odd incel-y vibe to them, even if its an attempt at being cheeky. Anyway One Week and Who Needs Sleep are bangers, the rest of the album is boring.
As an album its too long and samey. However the individual tracks are all solid. This is the music I expect to hear in a drug cooking montage or in the background of a street racers garage. Yeah I'm white how could you tell?
I don't know nothin about the genre of death metal. The usual stereotypes and tropes enter my head when I think about it. This album expertly circumvented my doubts and assumptions. The singing (screaming?) is used with the right amount of restraint and efficiency so it doesnt dip into cartoonish. The instrumentation is an amazing trip.
