Came back on here so I could become the 5000th rating on this album. Also, don't hate me for not giving it a 100. I think it's a near perfect album and a 10/10.
A wee bit late on the review, but anyway, ... how does it feel that you're orange dictator/president lost the election??? Awwwwwww, want us to stop the count, wittle little pimpy. Ok ;)
Let's talk about BROCKHAMPTON's Saturation II.
I loved, loved, loved this album. When listening to the first Saturation, I was blown away by their crafty lyricism and how each member of the group associates themselves into the album. But one issue I had with it was how many of the tracks were pretty repetitive. But, on Saturation II they nearly fixed the issues on the first Saturation, such as the repetitiveness. There are many differences compared to this and the first of the trilogy, such ... read more
Let's talk about Taylor Swift's "folkore".
Ok, this is the only Taylor Swift album I have ever listened to, and by assuming by most of the ratings on her AOTY music account, I can assume this is best album, and I really enjoyed it! I love the chamber-folk vibe she presents us with our hears (the album cover fits perfectly with the description of the album). However, what scares me to give this above an 80 is that, well,... I zoned out,... a lot. Maybe too much. I know it's probably ... read more
Let's talk about Tyler, the Creator's "Flower Boy".
What, were you expecting it to get a low rating? For much of Tyler's fanbase (or those who just enjoy his music), many agree that this is his best. I prefer "IGOR" more because of it's strong. cinematic-sound and the love story, but were not here to talk about that. "Flower Boy" details Tyler's upbringing in fame and how it's brought him in a hole of loneliness. The opening track basically sums up the story you ... read more
My first listen to the BROCKHAMPTON debut, and this album is lit!!!! Loved most of the songs, especially HEAT and GOLD.
Dang, this was great. I absolutely love the samples they use and how it fuses so well with the songs. Also, the sound is so crisp and futuristic in this album. It almost puts me ecstasy. Pyramids may have just became a favorite of all time for me. Though I thought the album could have been a little more interesting, I still really enjoyed it.
Let's talk about Tyler, the Creator's "Cherry Bomb".
If I had to describe Tyler's musical journey to the scientific method, "Cherry Bomb" is the rough draft or experimenting part of the process. Yes, this album helped inspire Tyler find his sound on "Flower Boy", but you could definitely tell there was an unbalance genre-wise on this album. First you would have a ear-bleeding, bass-boosted scream rap, then you move on to a calm, neo soul melody, then go into a ... read more
One heck of an underated album in my opinion. This album delivers great songs and I would have had no idea that a combo of Stone Temple Pilots and Guns n Roses could make something this awesome!
This is an great album, and I don't know why people hate on it so much? I don't find it as a snoozefest at all! It's just a nice record to listen to when your in a calm mood.
"Whatever People Say I Am, I'm Not" is a great intro to the Arctic Monkeys and an absolute must hear!
"IGOR" is Tyler's most ambitious album yet with one of the best breakup, back together, then back to breaking up stories ever made in a record. BEST ALBUM OF 2019!!!!!!!!!!!
