This solidifies the saxaphone as my favourite instrument. Only reason is isn't a 90+ (since most of the songs are a 9/10 or above in my opinion) is because the songs sort of start to blend together.
I wish I could listen to this on spotify, having to experience it on YouTube with adverts kinda hurts the rating but ignoring that it's yet another amazing Frank Ocean album.
It's basically the same as the original: There's nothing that really stands out but there's also no mid songs, they're all just good. I do slightly prefer the og though.
Pretty solid album from Vince, the first track was great although a lot of the songs get kinda repetitive.
This is the most beautiful, best sounding hip hop album I've ever heard. Nujabes might just be my favourite producer and shing02 has the perfect voice for rapping over these beats. Luvsic pt2 was already one of my favourite rap songs ever and somehow the acoustic version managed to top it - definitely the best on the album. Would easily be perfect without the 12" Remix, it sounds so out of place and doesn't fit. Nonetheless I'm really impressed.
Lacks in lyricism a lot making a few of the tracks sound kinda generic but you can't ignore the iconic songs like Say It Ain't So and Buddy Holly which are definitely the highlights of the album.
The skits on this are amazing, they're so funny. I don't even care about the flawless rapping and beats at this point, gimme more skits.
Where do I begin?
98.12.28 男達の別れ (Translates to 'A Farewell of Men') is the longest Album I've ever listened to in one sitting. The only other album I've Listened to that's over 2 hours is Donda (Deluxe), but I listened to that over two days.
I'm so glad I got into listening to albums. Never in a million years would I have laid my ears on this if I hadn't been introduced to album listening. I sat through this album in my back garden for the whole ... read more
This is some of the best rapping I've ever seen. I love the vibe of this album, it has amazing replayability and some of Doom's best beats. Not a single miss.
This is so inconsistent - the songs are either mid or near perfect 😭. The last track slaps though, it's the only one here that's compares with Ants From Up There.
Genuinely what are we doing. It's really boring to listen to, the rapping is mid and when it switches up it's straight up earrape. I also just don't like 1 Song albums, especially when it's 10 minutes long.
