solid ep, nothing bad, but nothing ground-breaking for either of these artists either. Songs are weirdly inconsistent on who's leading each one, some songs feel like glaive has much more prevalence than eric, and then others feel much more eric focused, but maybe im just dumb. none of these songs are any of these artists best work by far, both of these artists have fantastic work other than this, however, this EP is still a solid experience to listen to.

A very obvious step down from cypress grove, however still has enjoyable moments on it. This EP certainly has some mid moments, poison is so forgettable i barely even remember what it sounds like, and same with the outro track, however there are still some great moments on this EP, however many of these are reserved to a few songs. I have the same complaints with this as i do with cypress grove, weird writing choices, but also some new ones. Songs feel weirdly inconsistent tone wise, 1984 and i ... read more
Edit 2: This grew on me quite a bit actually!
Edit (Score: 65): Not as bad on relisten, however, my original points still stand. If this is the direction glaives going, unfortunately i prob wont be the biggest fan of the album.
ORIGINAL REVIEW | SCORE: 55: yea this just is not it. the singles glaive has been releasing have only been getting worse since minnesota is a place that exists, which is a great song. Knowing that this song has such a different sound compared to minnesota, i'm praying ... read more
EDIT: I've been listening to the songs on this album more recently, and Ghost Town may genuinely be one of the best songs I've ever heard. Changes song ratings and also removed Violent Crimes from Fav Tracks.
Kanye West in only 23 minutes and 7 songs delivers an incredibly personal album that feels incredibly real. The intro track has what sounds like a spoken word poem for about 2 minutes before eventually starting the song. You can tell all of these songs really meant a lot to Kanye when he ... read more
First half is so overwhelmingly boring that even as a glaive fan its hard to sit through, even with the knowledge that a fantastic second part comes after it. Acoustic glaive can be fantastic, take his i will follow you into the dark cover for example, but this is just so boring that its not even worth it for the payoff.
Yea this songs great, compared to the other single he released (this review was written before the release of as if), this gives me high hopes for his upcoming album.
EDIT: as if has released and i can confirm this is still the best single LMAO. glaive please make songs like this again
I just think this ep is neat. All the songs are great, a couple weird writing choices, but over all, a fantastic ep, especially since its glaives first project. I don't have much to say about this ep, so I'll just say that pissed is one of glaives best songs OAT, period. Same with astrid.

A step down from Some Rap Songs, however this still has some great songs. I think one thing i really enjoyed about Some Rap Songs was the fact that many of the songs didn't have features. This meant that there was the most of Earl's amazing lyricism, and this album also doesn't have many features, which is a plus imo. However, for the songs that do have features, they just don't have that same energy for some reason. Tabula Rasa and Vision have great potential, with some really good beats, but ... read more
This album shows a lot of potential for Pinkpanthress as an artist. The production on this project sounds great, nothing sounds weird and it all sounds very well put together. The whole album captures such a specific vibe that I've never seen before, and I really enjoy it. This album isn't without its gripes, however. The writing on this project is alright, it's nothing special, however there are points that could've flowed a little better, however, production does help in masking the just ... read more
Maybe this album deserves a relisten, but in my opinion, this album is possibly the most overhyped album I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong, this album has some incredible songs. Me and Your Mama and Redbone are near perfect songs, but every other song on this album is boring, leading to possibly one of the most overrated albums in recent memory. I may re listen to this album at some point, but for now, this album is a 6.5.

This album goes to show the importance of time when it comes to enjoying music. This album took the longest to grow on me in terms of any album ever. At first, I saw this as nothing more than a messy, inconsistent, and horribly mixed miss of an album. However, since then, I've realized that this album is incredible. Both sides of this album (which I like to refer to as the Cherry Side, with songs like FIND YOUR WINGS or 2SEATER, and the Bomb side with songs like RUN, CHERRY BOMB, and DEATHCAMP) ... read more
The fact that Frank Ocean got away with not releasing another album for 7 years at this point and still maintain a massive audience thanks to this album says everything you need to know about it. The two halves gimmick this album has works wonders, having Nights split the album into 2 30 minute segments is genuinely one of the best parts of this album.
Fav Tracks: Nikes, Self Control, Solo, Good Guy, Nights, Seigfried, Godspeed, Close To You.

This album is nothing short of incredible. Every single one of these songs are an amazing experience and all of them together make for one of the best concept albums I have ever heard, hell, this is my AOTY for 2022. Comparing this to From Me To You or Voice Memos is like comparing good kid, m.A.A.d city to Angelic 2 The Core.

These new songs are fantastic. The fact that some of these got taken off the original album goes to show how good the original CMIYGL is if these are the throwaways. SORRY NOT SORRY is one of Tyler’s best songs of all time, BOYFRIEND, GIRLFRIEND is just a vibe in general, and STUNTMAN’s energy is incredibly unique.

Wow, this album seriously exceeded my expectations. Hearing Smokin Out The Window in passing gave me a good first impression, but hearing all these songs is truly an experience. Not only do Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have incredible vocals, however the others in the band make the songs come together so well. This has quickly become one of my favorite albums OAT.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but only a few songs on this album are fit for a casual listen in my opinion, that doesn’t stop this album from being no less than a work of art. Whether or not I believe many of these songs should be listened to when listening to the album, and not just casual listening, this still is a fantastic album, and an even better concept album.
Fav Tracks: Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe, Money Trees, Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst

Tyler’s debut project holds up surprisingly well considering its age. A few things may have aged worse than others but overall a really solid experience.
Fav Tracks: Bastard, Odd Toddlers, Blow, VCR, and Assmilk

Something about this album makes me love it to a higher degree than any other album. This album manages to have such incredible content considering its 24 minute runtime, one of the shortest albums I've ever listened to, and yet it manages to be my favorite album ever.
