This album is a mash-up of different genres, elements of punk, elements of rock and elements of pop are sprinkled through this one. The standout part of this album is the tight guitar playing throughout. The chunky, almost robotic guitar riffs make this one somewhat memorable.

Some of the worst music I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. The fact this guy is unsigned is no mystery whatsoever. His primary school level lyricism and god-awful voice are revolting to listen to on first listen, god-forbid you give this shit show a second listen. He might be unsigned but that doesn't mean that 'Gerry' had to record the entire 'album' through a potato. Is there even any production value in this at all? All in all this LP shows the state that music is in today seeing ... read more
Nout special. Just like its cover, the album is a bit bizarre, a bit funny but ultimately nothing life changing.

Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1 is everything I expected, and more. A more keyboard driven sound in the first part, this album twists and turns and leaves you waiting with bated breath for what part 2 will bring to the table.
Some of the standout songs on this record are ‘White Onions’, a throwback to their math-rock debut album. It offers an injection of heavy guitars, similar to ‘What Went Down’ and intricate drumming. ‘Sunday’, a previously ... read more

On first listen, the songs that stick out for me are Greenhands, with its joyful keyboard and enticing intro, Higher States, which sounds nothing like Sundara Karma have produced in the past. Its a synthpop track which throws caution to the wind and will send you into a 'Higher State'. The album starts to drop off and then you get hit with 'Rainbow Body'. This track is a more post-punk inspired track which hits you with a fun little guitar part halfway through which has shades of Joy Division ... read more
This album is very repetitive however there are some songs that do offer a glimmer of Ian Brown’s song writing ability, but none of which is anywhere close to being on the level of F.E.A.R. The album seems to just chug along at the same pace not really offering anything different or exciting.

A rather refreshing change up from their previous efforts 'amo' brings a new side to BMTH that hasn't bared light before.
A significant shift in sound has proven somewhat of a success for the band as they have managed to pull in new pop-influenced fans with songs like 'Medicine' and 'Nihilist Blues' whilst still having efforts such as 'wonderful life' and 'mantra' that satisfy the more hardcore, longtime, fans.
What let's this album down, like previous efforts, is the distinct lack of quality ... read more

These scores are only based on 1 full listen through of the album. I will give it another listen through when I go on my next train journey. One thing I did notice is that there is no baggage with most of the songs. All are relatively short for rock songs but are straight to the point. I also really like the album cover.

I have one of my best mates to thank for getting me into this band. It's not necessarily the genre of music I would typically listen to, but I cannot help but enjoy the great music that this band puts out. Despite never reading the comics that Coheed albums are based around, the musicianship in this album is still incredible to listen to.
Stand out tracks: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth, The Crowing, The Camper Velourium I: Faint of Hearts, A Favour House Atlantic, The Light & the ... read more
What an incredible album. I'm fascinated by the fact that despite only being a two-piece band they create this gargantuan sound that not many 4 or 5 piece bands can create. The drumming on this album is great throughout. Primal and simple sounding and yet incredibly intricate at the same time. The chemistry between the two can clearly be heard as they're playing off each other so elegantly. I've watched many videos of these songs being played live and the chemistry is so infectious to watch, ... read more
'Boy In Da Corner' is one of the definitive albums that affirmed the grime culture that now grips the UK music scene, however, listening to it for the first time in 2018 it sounds incredibly dated.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with people's high ratings of this album and the critical acclaim it received (and thoroughly deserved). On release, this album was a fresh sounding record that opened a completely new avenue for UK rappers to go down. It was a game-changing album and one which would ... read more
