I've been a massive Dream Theater fan for years but I've never given this debut a proper listen and boy have I been missing out. I assumed it wasn't that good because nobody ever talks about it and it consistently gets ranked as their worst album. But today I actually sat down and listened to it properly and I can safely say that it's mostly killer. Sure not as good as their best works but it's far from being their worst.

I pretty much listen to as much music as possible regardless of genre. I find it hard to give low ratings because I usually manage to find something I like in most music.
