This is the rare art-rock album that excels at both the art and the rock, and it's a pinnacle of the genre (and decade) because of it.

Supper’s Ready is my favourite song of all time. It’s perfect. It’s actually perfect, it really is. There is no single second of its 23-minute runtime that I think is unnecessary. Every part is beautiful, groovy, and the ending evokes emotions in me like no other, that’s why this song, and this song only is worthy of a 100 in my eyes.
The first half of the album is amazing too. Watcher of the Skies and Time Table give the album a rather slow start but the latter two ... read more

Y'know, Genesis aren't amongst my favourite artists out there, but their best material certainly ranks amongst my favourite in the entirety of prog. Albums like Foxtrot really signify absolutely everything that made me fall in love with this genre initially.

I wish I liked Genesis a lot more, but I really like this record, I think Get ‘Em Out by Friday is my favorite song from them.

Truly felt like an epic journey from start to end. Some of the best instrumentals I’ve heard coming out of an album in a very long while. Loved how odd the vocals get sometimes and how they mixed in some outside chatter and noise. In my mind Genesis as a group is easily one of the best sounding bands ever. Really liked how the sound of the album was constantly changing and evolving as it progressed. I found some of the stops or changes to be a bit awkward, but all of the tracks were still ... read more

How do five songs and a mini-symphony always result in iconic prog albums?
