It's a party

You click play to this record and you're automatically transported to a disco-dance-futuristic party, with all the highs and lows a party comes with. Great experience.

Top Tracks: One More Time, Face to Face, High Life

Djo - The Crux

Djo, you will always be famous

It's not the best album ever, but it is a pretty good listen. Sonically, it reminds me of The Beatles, I can hear Elton, I can even hear Queen (and he mentions it in a song). Joe has pretty clear his influences and uses them correctly to create a pretty cool listening experience, you can relate to some songs, it's pretty cool

Top Tracks: Back On You, Charlie’s Garden, Basic Being Basic

Michael Jackson - Thriller

The Beatles - Abbey Road

Now I get it

This was my first full album from The Beatles, and I honestly didn’t expect much. I always thought of their music as kind of “old”, the foundation for future artists and bands, but nothing that would stand out to me today. I figured it’d be one of those “legendary but boring” listens. Turns out, I was wrong, at least about the boring part. Abbey Road turned out to be way more engaging than I anticipated.

Some of the tracks really made me ... read more

Sigur Rós - Ágætis byrjun

Pretty accurate cover

Cuz the whole time I felt like an alien fetus, vibrating to the melodies of this album. At first I thought I wouldn't like it, but the melodies are really relaxing and make up for the fact that I don't understand a word of the lyrics.

Top Tracks: Viörar Vel Til Loftárása, Svefn-G-Englar, Flugufrelsarinn

Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska

My first Bruce Springsteen album

And a very particular one to start. Can't believe this is the guy that wrote Born in the USA, talking about range. The atmosphere created on this album is really special. It is not entirely sad, but rather desolate.

Top Tracks: Atlantic City, Highway Patrolman, Johnny 99

Willie Nelson - Phases and Stages

In the words of the legendary Adele "Divorce, babe. Divorce"

Lovely album with a magnificent storytelling. Seeing both sides of the story really created a unique experience of sadness and anger.

Top Tracks: Washing the dishes, Pretend I Never Happen, I’m falling in love again

Blossom Dearie - Blossom Dearie

Perfect for this time of the year

Wednesday - Bleeds

I listened to this right before pitchfork called it the album of the year, So I might revisit it

Teyana Taylor - Escape Room

Gurl...

I loved you as Perfidia Beverly Hills in OBAA, but as a recording artist.... It's not that is bad, but your album cannot be more a podcast than an album, or maybe it can, but whatever.

Top Tracks: Hard Part, Back To Life

Top Tracks: La Yugular, Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti, La Rumba Del Perdón

Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper

A real unique mix of sounds and styles.

When it was losing me, it gave me exactly the punch I needed.

Top Tracks: I DREAM ABOUT SINKING, GODSTAINED, AT A TIME LIKE THIS

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets - Pogo Rodeo

This was fun and enjoyable

I personally liked more their previous album also released this year, but it was a cool continuation of it.

Top Tracks: Manny’s Ready to Rolll, Salsa Verde

Penelope Trappes - A Requiem

Feeling witchy? this is your album

Top Tracks: Anchor Us to Seabed Floor, Red Dove

Milo j - La Vida Era Más Corta

Marina Sena - Coisas Naturais

Un pop brasileño

Lo disfruté bastante.

Top Tracks: Anjo, TOKITO, Mágico

Lucrecia Dalt - A Danger to Ourselves

Boring, crazy, not my thing

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA Afterglow
84

Definitely an afterglow

If Eusexua was the party, Eusexua Afterglow is the after-party. It really captures that vibe. Even when Eusexua is better, this album was pretty cool and a great following album.

Top Tracks: Stereo Boy, Sushi, Love Crimes

The Fearless Flyers - The Fearless Flyers V

I'm not that much into instrumentals only albums, but this one I enjoyed it a lot. The funky vibes I loved
