giving this ep 75 hurts deep down but the difference between the tracks is too big. we have two rather underwhelming tracks, one (title) that is very very good and then SENSES and LOVE TALK.
this is a sub unit, it is marketed differently so we always expect the music to be less “good” than if it were released in group. NOT THE CASE! got7 SHOULD experiment like Jus2 did. the last two tracks are very brilliant and two of my favourite b-sides of all time. the quality is unmatched.. ... read more
I don't think people understand how huge this album is for a gorup who wasn't even 1 year old.
TXT are so perefectly produced and managed, every member fits every single concept they have ever tried. These 5 boys are a perfect match and great assets to each other.
Very strong group and, to be truthful, the future of K-pop.
I have high hopes for them and their career, I hope BigHit learnt from their previous mistakes.
I think we ought to see the diversity of genres in this album has something.. positive.
Twice have a never-ending list of genius titles and b-sides and are, clearly, the queens of the scene. However, JYP tried to shift their sound with Fancy - which was honestly a great move. It's mature-ish + still a bit bubblegum-y. I think More&More kinda ruined that process for them, only to come back up with I CAN'T STOP ME.
I can't stop me is, for me, the start of a new, fresh Twice. JYP is finally ... read more
2016 was a great year for K-pop, but B.A.P take the crown when it comes to records. I think some tracks are a bit out of place with the concept. Nevertheless, they were innovative and very smart with their production choices.
This album is proof that B.A.P were unstoppable as a group and could manage pretty much any genre of music if they just put their minds into it.
Le Noir and I GUESS I NEED U are some of the finest K-pop tracks I have ever heard.
I feel for them, they could have been one ... read more
Absoloutely album of the year for me. Not a hint of doubt.
I can confidently say Seventeen (along with NCT) are the only boygroups I trust to deliver electronic music like real kings.
Jihoon is a genius producer, do not be fooled by only the title tracks.
I would also like to pay specific attention to the track HIT: not every group can pull it off. A simple yet very difficult concept.
An Ode is Seventeen's best album and the best kpop release of 2019.
House has been done in K-pop hundreds of times - yet never quite like this.
Disco birthed House, I'm aware, but I had never seen a K-pop group do both so perfectly. It was an ode to the origins of House while still keeping it fresh and modern. This album is a masterpiece in the industry and is, in my opinion, a must hear - at least for every fan of house/post disco.
