Kanye West - Late Orchestration

To no surprise at all, I loved the lived performances of songs from my favourite two Kanye albums. Some amazing, passionate and raw Kanye vocal performances accompanied by some brilliant live instrumentation, particuarly with "bring me down" and "gone" which from the epic live instrumentals I actually prefer these versions to the ones on late registration. I also think I prefer "crack music" on here due to how raw Kanye's vocal performance is.

Freddie Gibbs - RBT

Three very solid tracks from Freddie with Rabbit Mode being my favourite.

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU: DIRECTOR'S CUT

A very solid director's cut from Peggy with some additional tracks that are great and add even more to an already brilliant album and then a few others that are more so-so, but none of the added tracks were terrible.

Favourite new tracks: PROTECT THE CROSS, Jordan Rules, i lay down my life for you, Come & Get Me
Least favourite new tracks: ALLAH, HATE

Drake didn’t do this sound badly but his contemporaries have done it a lot better.

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP

Repetitive flows, but the flows are still pretty good, and on some tracks he isn't being lyrical enough.

Some of the mixing could be better - sometimes Peggy's vocals are drowned out by instrumentals.

But the production is fantastic and carries the album, and overall I still did enjoy this quite a lot, even if it may be his weakest album effort so far.
