Instrumentally this album is exceptional. Throughout the entire runtime there are some stunning basslines and some brilliant drumming. The solo violin deserves so much credit as it speaks in such an explicit, gripping tone. This is so clear especially in the closing track, but also through the rest of its featured passages. It really is incredible. It truly had me gripped through every instrumental and immersed in this vast, haunting landscape. Reveries from the Stained Glass Womb had a sound ... read more
Steve Reich's Electric Counterpoint movement 3 - if there's not a direct influence then I will put my entire student loan on black. Clever, interlocking guitars and ostinatos that scratch your ears. But I'll tell you something that Reich had that these guys don't - bass. It feels to me like this is a group blended over their love for guitar so much that they doubled all their parts thinking it would fill the void. It doesn't. There's maybe 2 tracks with bass but ... read more

As vibrant as it is, it does start to bore me right at the end, but not too considerably. There's some quality synth work, some great bass and a really good range between ballad style tunes and energetic anthems. The ... read more
It's left me craving more. More what you may ask? More good music from other sources. That was maybe harsh, but the whole tracklist really could've had some more variation. There was only ever really one sound, and while of course some tracks were better than others, they all had the common ground of a pretty dull experience. Little Secrets was more fun and groovy than the rest, while Eyes As Candles and Sleepyhead were more undesirable than the rest. The singers voice has it's ... read more
