no other band except system of a down could go from their self-titled debut to toxicity, the sheer talent put on display on this album is legendary, this album is insane. This album has a little bit of everything, it's heavy, fast, energetic, and at no point does a song feel out of place or kills the vibe. Something like toxicity only really can come from a band like SOAD, if there are any artists out there looking to enter the world of metal, SOAD is the blueprint, their sound is ... read more
system of a down's self-titles debut is one of the strongest debut albums of any band, somehow having mastered exactly what they wanted to sound like right from the get-go is an impressive feat, mix that with the consistency and amazing production of this album and it's hard to tell this is a debut and not one of their later works with how well it fits into their discography. wolf is where tyler really starts to shine as an artist the overarching narrative presented in this album and the way the story is told is absolutely phenomenal with some amazing beats, and some of my personal favorite tyler songs to date this album is an amazing listen and the album i use to introduce people to tyler as an artist. Some stand out tracks on this album are; answer, 48, IFHY, and tamale.
while not as egregious as bastard goblin does still suffer from some of the same issues as bastard, a lot of over the top things said purely for the shock value and many references to rape. Some stand out tracks on this one are; yonkers, she, and tron ... read more
