"Track 5" sounds like Kraftwerk's "Autobahn"; "Track 16" is AC/DC's "Hell's Bells"
It cannot be a radio drama with few to none sound effects, but that was more of just a hope than an actual expectation
How is this all over the place?! Sounds pretty coherent to me: the shaker is so present that it's starting to annoy me, if the flute isn't there - the strings are... All in all, all compositions follow the overall aesthetic of the record. (Some people act as if everything that doesn't contain mere clones of the same exact song is inconsistent and even "a mess")
All of the pieces follow the same shtick of annoyingly repeating a tone or a little phrase/motif ad nauseam over a fast tempo drum section, after a very promising intro. Maybe the fifth recording kinda breaks this pattern, so my score gets to be this high
I wonder how didn't this collaboration happen earlier, their music seems to be a perfect fit for each other
That acoustic guitar section near the end of "Smoke & Mirrors" is giving me some Matmos' "The Civil War" vibes
