Deaf Lions - Copia
NR

"Track 5" sounds like Kraftwerk's "Autobahn"; "Track 16" is AC/DC's "Hell's Bells"

NR

Dungeon industrial or martial synth

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Eyes Like The Sky
NR

It cannot be a radio drama with few to none sound effects, but that was more of just a hope than an actual expectation

Psychic TV - Mouth of the Night
NR

"Discopravity" slaps

Current 93 - In Menstrual Night
90

"The Sylvie and Babs Hi-Fi Companion"'s creepy twin

Moondog - Moondog
NR

How is this all over the place?! Sounds pretty coherent to me: the shaker is so present that it's starting to annoy me, if the flute isn't there - the strings are... All in all, all compositions follow the overall aesthetic of the record. (Some people act as if everything that doesn't contain mere clones of the same exact song is inconsistent and even "a mess")

Kratzwerk - Serie
NR

"Tafel 2" is just some instrumental reinterpretation of "Eye of the Tiger"!

أحمد [Ahmed] - Giant Beauty
10

All of the pieces follow the same shtick of annoyingly repeating a tone or a little phrase/motif ad nauseam over a fast tempo drum section, after a very promising intro. Maybe the fifth recording kinda breaks this pattern, so my score gets to be this high

Swans - Birthing
95

Magnum opus by the artist, IMHO

Mujo & Grogou - Lo-Foods
NR

The rhythms here are kinda "broken" (for the lack of a better word; or maybe it's the right term?), which makes this release pretty unique and stands out among the vast majority of formulaic and indistinguishable from each other examples of this music style

Otto Von Schirach & Qebrµs - Ottobrus
NR

First track samples Daft Punk "Da Funk"

Scanner & Nurse With Wound - Contrary Motion
NR

I wonder how didn't this collaboration happen earlier, their music seems to be a perfect fit for each other

Sun City Girls - Sun City Girls
NR

"My Painted Tomb" ends with "Over the Rainbow"!

Jean-Claude Éloy - Gaku-No-Michi
95

Forth track begins with the Internationale!

The Thing - Gluttony
90

I love the second part

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Made in Timeland

That acoustic guitar section near the end of "Smoke & Mirrors" is giving me some Matmos' "The Civil War" vibes

Smoke City - Flying Away

Unexpectedly lovely!

"What are better gamelan records, in your opinion? I am going through the most highly rated gamelan releases on RYM and this was one of them, but I'm always curious for more gamelan - it might be my favourite traditional music out there (not to mention that I based my artistic alter-ego on a fictitious person from Yogyakarta)"

"A huge difference between the 1986 version (which, apparently, still aren't the original recordings, but remixes by the label RRRec themselves) and the 1993 re-issue is the bonus disc "Loop Panic Limited". The original tracks were released in 2024 "with bonus songs from the same time" (https://kontaktaudio.bandcamp.com/album/batztoutai-with-memorial-gadgets)"
