Brian Johnson does a decent job at following up Bon Scott, his voice is quite entertaining. But other than that, ๐๐ข๐ค๐ฌ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ค๐ฌ is just a really basic rock album. Dumb fun one might call it
๐๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ๐ต ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ณ๐ช๐ฎ๐ด๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐จ is a 5-track album from 1969 that's captivating like no other. It starts out with "21st Century Schizoid Man", which doesn't fail to IMMEDIATELY grab your attention (even faster if you recognize Kanye's POWER sample). And it finishes with one of the greatest title-tracks I have ever heard, 'The Court of the Crimson King", my favourite song of the ... read more
The peaks of ๐๐ช๐ณ ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ณ don't compare to those of Navy Blue's last year work, but aside from that the albums are pretty comparible.
Staples is back at it with another heavy politically loaded album and it's easily his best so far.
Wanted to rereview this one because of the release of it's deluxe, and it did drop a bit. Now I did first rate this one back when I tended to just rate stuff higher, so that's part of the reason, but I also think a few songs on here just aren't memorable at all and don't add any value to the album. I do have to say I still miss "It's Your Anniversary" on spotify, because it was my favorite song of the album before it got taken of streaming.
To be honest this really was quite unnecessary and doesn't add a lot of value to the album
Don't ask but this dude reminds me of the voice that does the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles song
Guns N Roses' debut album, ๐๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ต๐ช๐ต๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ต๐ณ๐ถ๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ, is incredibly fun but also really inconsistent. And to be honest, it all depends on Axl Rose's vocals. On the 3 obvious hits, his voice is incredily raw, energetic, and honestly fucking crazy. But on most of the other songs I found him to be a bit less hungry and overall lacking. It doesn't help that the instrumentals aren't that special either on most of ... read more
Greep's ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฆ๐ธ ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ is far too unique to label with genres or themes. It's an extraordinary experience of sound I have never heard before, hence it's title.
The final SOAD album, ๐๐บ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต๐ช๐ป๐ฆ is the last piece I needed to listen to complete their discography, and what an amazing discography that is. System of a Down is in my opinion the best metal band when it comes to lyricism, the instrumentals are always great and often quite unique, and ๐๐ฐ๐น๐ช๐ค๐ช๐ต๐บ is my third favorite metal-album of all time. What a band.
Even though ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ is obviously a step-down from LZ's previous 6 records, it's still quite good. Especially "Achilles Last Stand", which is arguably a top 5 Zeppelin track for me.
๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ฌ ๐๐ช๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฏ as an album is a special experience in the best way possible. Those smooth transitions between songs, combined with the psychelic, spacey feel of the entire album, make for 42 minutes of practically a movie told with sound. Songs like "Us and Them", "Money", and "Eclipse" are my favorites and yes, while it sounds amazing as an album, you can play the individual songs just ... read more
๐๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฆ is my introduction to Pink Floyd and I am PLEASED to say the least. I listened to this album while tanning in the sun on a hot ass day and the peace I felt was undeniable. Also, "Echoes" is absurd, 23 minute runtime and every single moment is absolute peak,
