Sure, it’s impressive. This is a really grand and carefully constructed record… but for what. I just don’t feel the emotion. These songs aren’t near as emotional as people hyped them up to be and there’s a lot to be desired from the vocals. Definitely some great stuff here but overall this just really bored me.
More of the same from the keys but I’m not complaining. If you’re gonna give me blues jams like How Long and Burn The Whole Thing Down every time you release and album then you’re doing the right thing as a veteran band.
Callous Daoboys establish themselves as top dogs in the mathcore scene. This is nasty, beautiful, and heartbreaking all in the same breath.
Domo executes a great concept really well. He just needs a bit more energy.
Probably Brent’s best project. A dark, psychedelic tale of a nightcrawler who lives for the vices in life. Definitely a little bit over the top and corny at times, but Brent makes up for it. And those interludes, oh my god…
Willow is officially a fucking rockstar. This album has mind-numbing breakdowns, crazy riffs, solos that fucking shred, and willow’s vocals complement everything great. Definitely a little rough around the edges. She needs to refine her sound but once she does she’s gonna be unstoppable.
The Weeknd carefully curates a very specific, cyberpunk feeling on this album that is instantly recognizable. He continues to prove he is one of the best musical minds of our generation.
This is probably Denzel’s best work behind TA13OO. It’s a psychedelic ride that rivals something like Astroworld or The House is Burning.
A return to form for one of the most underrated rock bands of the last 20 years. These songs are hard-hitting and emotional, with incredible riffs and even better vocals.
KG continue to improve and refine their jazz music, adding yet another genre to their fucking insane arsenal. These guys can do it all and this album is a perfect example of that.
