This album isnt even an album, its a compilation. I was surprised by how much I enioyed this when i listened to it, however that being said, a lot of it to me was just decent, and not something id revist. Simply put, theres 8 songs from these 24 that i really enjoy, and the rest i havent listened to since, even though i remember them being decent. Unfortunatly, really enjoying a third of the songs cant cut it for being something i enjoy as a full blown project.
What a cool EP, the obvious is in The Trouble with Us, which is such a fun and underrated pop classic, the bubbly feeling is so vibrant, it really feels like a movie scene of a guy who just got the girl to agree to go out with him and hes walking down the street, greeting and helping everyone, sniffing flowers, dancing, taking big strides, picking up flowers, etc.. Learning for Your Love is a 2K classic, and Birthcard Card is an elite chill vibe, Killing Jar I also really like, but it just ... read more
This album can be so boring to me in full, especially during the middle run. The first 4 songs start of great, and even the 2 following are decent, but from track 6 to track 9 frankly really bored. Thankfully there's another good run from track 10 to 13, but it's still less engaging and loses a lot of it's flair. Furthermore, i know it's not here, but the 2 songs added for the deluxe suck ass well, just fit into the issues i have with the middle run but i find them so boring.
i dont know how to factor in that many interludes that i respectfully just dont want to listen to, so i guess ill do what ill usually do and just ignore them, but thats like half the album so im minusing points ??? i dunno
i refuse to believe people actually listen to futura free, or deadass enjoy the interludes as much as the rest of the album, but man, there's nearly 10 10s here, and people would call me a hater for saying that. can;t believe im contributing to descreasing this albums score
People who dismiss anything Griselda without a second thought really missing out man, just give it a damn chance
My 2023 AOTY. Just so damn beutiful man, I don't give a shit about the poor writing or lack of engagement from some songs.
Ain't no damn way it's been 3 years, I remember Steve Lacy ruling my world for a few months in 2022.
