This one was definitely not for me. I appreciate them trying some new experimental stuff but I really don't see the purpose of this record.
Needed a minute to fully form my thoughts on this album. First of all, it is quite excellent. While the whole album aesthetic and sound feels like a part 2 to Stick Season, it also feels like a more mature and necessary continuation. This album is very much for the fans, from its length to its continued exploration of previous themes. It does everything you expected, and as a fan I absolutely love it. My favourite thing about a long album like this is being able to pick out something new every ... read more
A fun album as a whole, but only the singles stand up over time. Solid for a debut pop album. It had a strong start but fell off halfway.
A throwback but also pretty new to me considering I’ve only heard the radio singles before. Definitely a product of its time and Justin’s age. Bigger was especially laughable.
Kingdom Of Giants, I was not familiar with your game. Can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on them!
I enjoyed this! Not a huge fan of the cleans but I loved all the blast beats and screams.
This might just be the longest review I’ll write for a while. For the first The Cab album in over a decade, this album perfectly captures their old sound while also modernizing it to fit with current radio pop trends. Is it even the best The Cab album? Absolutely not, it’s nostalgia bait at its finest and I’m hooked. Great for fans who have been missing them and Alexander DeLeon’s sound here. I’ve definitely outgrown this sound since I was around 14 when I first ... read more
This is such a fun release! Their sound gives me early Set It Off vibes with the theatricality, but more metalcore. Going to have to sit down to listen to the lyrics because there’s some interesting stuff in here. Excited to check out more of this band!
This is my first time listening to the albums before Sempiternal and I'm honestly so impressed by how good this sounds. I can see myself rating this higher with more re-listens.
Some bangers, but honestly I found the track order a little all over the place. Didn't hit as hard as I hoped.
A really cool album with a lot of interesting parts. I love the lead singer's voice and the heavy parts hit just right. Also bonus points for them being an Ontario band. Unfortunately for me their sound feels a bit dated in an early 2000s way and they lost me a bit in the second half of the album. This was very promising though and I'm excited to keep an eye on their future releases.
Absolute bangers, right up my alley. I only wish the songs and album overall were longer.
Already so much cleaner than Count Your Blessings. This album will have to grow on me a little bit but there are already a good handful of standout tracks. Great soundtrack for the gym.
Pleasantly surprised by this album! It's not anything that stands out to me but it was an enjoyable listen.
Mathcore isn’t quite my thing yet but this was a fun listen nonetheless. All the vocals were great and the riffs were really fun.
I appreciate how iconic Pray for Plagues is, and there are some interesting parts on this album. However, it's not for me, and honestly felt very overwhelming and exhausting at times. I'm excited to see if the re-record will make me like this more, since it's not a bad album at all it just needs to be cleaned up a bit.
EDIT: The album is growing on me, the songs themselves are quite good, the production is just very muddy. I have a feeling I’ll love the re-recording!
