I heard this project leaked in a little less quality last week and I was surprised with how I felt about it. always have time for new d&w, and this shit slaps. shoutout to my brother destroyyyyer. sample goes insane and the verses go hard. vocals are mixed extremely well and is already an improvement from d&w’s 2023/2022 projects. perfect amount of moodiness and reverb to make a banger which I expect will work well in the context of the tape. the xeno fiji verse got me bricked up as well. real talent right here, and watch for d&w the rest of this year. 🩷🩷
the bonus track is really just 25 minutes of a Garfield and Kanye West fanfiction being read to me and i love every single minute of it.
Compared to the rest of Lots’ discography, this has a lot of 1) Sped and pitched anime samples and 2) trap rap samples that I recognize instantly, which makes me happy because I am usually bad at recognizing samples whether they’re from video games or other types of music that I’m not familiar with. gothboiclique still probably the best band I’ve ever had the pleasure to witness for the past 5+ years. after some events, i never thought this collaboration would happen again. lil Tracy and horsehead have had some differences, but it seems like all has been put aside and they have made up which brings a smile to this ol’ face. with a part two of one of my favorite songs ever, i was glowing with excitement and anticipation for this project.
