I feel like this influenced the whole indie-rock scene of the 2000s so much
Wasted 30 inutes of my life listening to this album. I would love for most of the songs to atleast try something (as perhaps "Just A Kid", one of the singles), but 90% of them just speak to nothing. Really dissapointing experience.
As someone who is also very mad at society, this album feels like the perfect rage rampage. However, the music felt repetitive and uninteresting at times, and there was a point where it was starting to be difficult for me to differenciate between songs. But the overarching message still shines through the messy guitars: fuck the patriarchy!
And here is Ethel Cain again, delivering not the music you thought you wanted but perhaps the one you needed to discover.
This album is just an hour long flex on how Lana isn't just a singer, but also an exquisite poet
Sufjan's most experimental and unique album, The Age of Adz is filled with insane tracks that hit as a sack of bricks. What were the odds of yout favourite soft indie artist making such an insane electronic album?
Fiona is a creative power house, and this album is just the best example for that. How can one not fall in love with her honesty and her insane song wrotong habilities? This album feels raw, perfect but in an effortless way, it is overflowing with love for music and artistry, and I am filled with this love every time i listen to it.
I cannot express how deeply i love this album and how much it has influenced my musical world. This project is a non-stop succession of pop greatness, with insane lyrics and utter-worldly production, an absolute masterpiece. Lorde made me fall in love with the experience of listening to albums, and I will forever be thankful to her for that. Melodrama forever.
