Super danceable and mystical, Bowie's airy and toned voice makes such a smooth experience, and it combines magically with the funky instrumentation. TVC 15 just drags a bit.
It's just so unbelievably soulful and inspirational, every song makes me want to explore the very ends of our galaxy. Also very cinematic, with a super strong concept and just crazy influence everywhere.
Only the most revolutionary piano rock album of the '70s... and the career turning point of the greatest rock artist to ever walk this earth.
If one had to define "transcendentally classic" with one album, it would be this.
Passionate singing, depressive concept and just iconic songs front to back. The ultimate emo album that isn't really an emo album.
Genuinely one of the most focused and hard-hitting mixtapes ever. About what you would except from a Gucci and Sosa collab.
Mass Appeal just keeps delivering this year with the East Coast Hip Hop/Boom Bap, and dare I say this Big L release is the best of them all. There were a number of nasty sample flips all over the album, Big L rapping at top form, the legendary 7 minute freestyle put on streaming, and amazing features (especially Mac Miller). Mass Appeal is really doing something special for 2025 hip hop.
This is definitely Uzi's best project. They go so many different directions, including metal, rage, and pop rap, making for a very exciting record the whole way through. It's a whole ethereal album experience, never losing momentum for a whole 87 minutes, and doing so with four features total. LUV also infects the album with so many fun vocal performances, just really full of energy.
Some Rap Songs is an insanely depressing and introspective album with some of the best abstract flows with visceral vocal chops that perfectly encapsulate the trapped feelings Earl was experiencing at the time.
I'm not sure how I feel about the vocals, but I absolutely adore the orchestral production and writing.
Basic but insanely diverse and intoxicating rage album, guarantee this is going to be a defining moment for mainstream music in a few years.
Godspeed shows a little bit more of their side of anger, but unfortunately it gets traded for the songs getting more repetitive and less detailed.
