I think total xanarchy is an easier listen.
It’s just sad to see trippie redd doing this. The lil peep references and homages are also like so disrespectful. It feels like they have no respect or awareness of the genre or music at all. It’s pretty impressive. Trippies part on lost boys sounds pretty nice but that’s it.
This ep has drawn me in more and more than most music does now. I can easily listen to this without any skips. Just the direction the Glaive is going is so incredible, and I think he is one of the more important musicians right now.

There are no skips on this record, I just wish there was more.
This is my introduction to mgmt in a full album, and I really love their sound. The first three might be a perfect song run, and admittedly the album kinda looses me at the end, but I really love it all the way through.
One of my favourite old fart on the back porch country albums. It really has an incredible push for justice in ecological and economical concern for the 1960’s.
CYYYYOOOOTE CYYYYYOOOTEEEEEEE
These mfs must have put some crack in this piece of art. It is filled to the brim with interesting and pointent sound profiles and feels that all work together so well
Starting off so goddamn strong with freak. The explosive guitar and drums and being introduced to her voice along side these brings such a special experience. Her vocal inflections on the lines like she’s five foot one and your six foot five are so infectious.
Than into the clean and natural tin man. The production with ... read more
An absolutely daunting listen. I believe it to be his most interesting project with such potent lyrics and sound profiles like on tortoise of independency or it was only warmth.
The ooz stands separate from the rest of his discography I think. It is so incredibly lonely and brooding but not in a way that he normally is. Songs like the title track
stand out as a true masterclass of how to make an absolutely daunting, filthy, depressing song. The title of the album encompasses itself very well I think.
Post edit ps. This got out of hand. It was like 11 and I hadn’t written anything of importance in the past few weeks before it so I thought King Krule fan fiction ... read more
Unpopular opinion i think, but I don’t love this album as much as most people do. It houses some of my favorite king krule songs, but it’s a bit heavy and disconnected at times. Maybe when I sit with this one more, I’ll grow to it heavier.
Sets a perfect base for the rest of his career. The ep really shows him finding his footing and his voice, which he grows accustomed to astonishingly quickly.
A very lovely bill Callahan album, pulling from 10 different characters off lives to make the whole project. They come together to work lovely. I am also biased to the album for the redux of let’s move to the country twenty one years later. Voice of an angel.
I see people pretty relentlessly shitting on this album. And don’t get me wrong, I think this is one of Jacob’s least good lps yet, but this is once again a pretty incredibly arranged album. And there are some songs I really loved. Wellll is a huge standout, but I’m so back and forth. I think I’ll sit with this record a while and see how it grows to me.
An absolutely gorgeous and light twangy album from bill and his boys. Lovely, depressing story told through out as well.
As I’ve had a few years to reflect on this record, I have come to realize that this is really a special album. The production is so different than all of his other tracks and really anything else in the game. He just manages to always be ahead. And my main complaint is some of lyrics like on N95 but the rest of them are so amazing and his flows are some of his best.
This is like the cooler version of twin fantasy. That only makes sense to me, but I love them equally.
This LP has remained as my favourite album from King Krule. The automatic firing opener with the surrealist lyrics are just so addictive and euphoric. Theme for the cross has stood out to me for a while as well. The monologue being dragged behind you and the music, and dying away at the end is very cool. I feel the need to mention the music video for Cellular. Top 20 music videos fs.
Wowowowowow this is exactly what I was hoping for from a new Brittany Howard album. I think she has a pretty perfect trajectory set up for her.
Favorite track: Red Flags
This is dels finest. His writing is always on point, and there are some incredible samples, like in mrdobalina.
