I wish I could bring myself to give this a lower rating. I think I would feel better about myself If I could. This is genuinely the most heartbreaking album I have ever heard. It really touches me deep down in an overwhelming way.
One of the few albums I can keep listening to and cry every time. Still has some misses that I don’t love, but still.
Holy hell man. This stands tall with some of the strangest, coolest indie albums I’ve heard. Everything about every song and every choice is so odd but ends up working so well. Did you know that cowboy Dan is a major player in the cowboy scene?
As I’ve listened through Fiona’s discography, it has become more and more apparent of how much of a slut for her I am.
A slightly experimental album from Daniel Cesar, which I honestly love to see. I feel like it is that time in his career where he is kinda doing whatever he wants. Ocho Rios is as of now my favorite off the LP. I think this’ll be up there in my top r&b albums for the past few years for a while.
Absolutely a perfect cumulative effort of their career up to here. I’m gonna quote my mom here, “I think spud infinity is one of the best songs ever,” so big w’s from Gina‼️ There is obviously only greatness to come from this. I will never forget seeing backseat lovers and bendigo fletcher covering certainty live. UGH
Such an incredible banence of higher energy rockish songs, mixed with call up the therapist songs. All things considered, this is a perfect freshmen album for them, and set such a good base for their career.
Fiona’s best. This record is filled with energy and love and a lot of hate. The percussion and a cappella parts of it are on another level, and her writing is so visceral and beautiful.
Such a fascinating project. These aren’t quite songs, but I think after a second listen, you can really fully appreciate it.
This album is ridiculously good, I think that it is on par with teens of denial. But like Bodys is flawless as well. There is prolly like one almost miss though.
Edit: 85~>93
There is just to much perfection on this album. It consistently outweighs any negatives I can say about it. Will has such a perfect vocal performance on this. Oddly often when he is not singing. His singing is still incredible, but some of the revised monologues in this version of the album are just way to good.
This project is really incredible and stands out pretty strongly from most other indie folk albums. It has such a different feel and oddly sinister at times.
Favorite track: Oom Sha La La
One of my favorite recent brakecore albums! Really cool feel throughout, and escape your dream is pretty great
This is such a great sophomore album to see from Jane. I absolutely adore the singles, than the rest of the album works so well. Cage girl is so great, and Contingency song is just devastating. One of my AOTY’s.
Edit: HE CANT STOP WATCHING ME, I DANCE I DANCE I DANCE
This is a fantastic slept on album. I love this mash so much and listened the shit out of it when it came out.
DAYUMMMMM this was so much better than I was expecting. Cause I hated old money, but like this is so good.
This feels like a pretty big change up. It’s like, it’s calm now but very depressed. I’m gonna give it some more listens and really focus on the lyrics, but I think so far I prefer the previous project. BUT IDK. We’ll see.
Edit: holy shit
MAN. This album was pretty glorious. I’m on my first listen after hearing piss river before and this was pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. I think piss river remains my favorite still. I’ll need to give it some more listens.
Really pulled me into him last year when I first heard it. Rejjie is just so full of a playful energy that I love.
This was a cool freshman album. I feel like it could have been excited better and been more fleshed out. I think that neighborhood and sweet were my favorites. I’d love to see him go deeper though.
