the song structure we're hearing more and more from Bruiser Wolf is becoming more and more formulaic with every release.
following underground rap is hard because they'll drop out of nowhere and you won't of heard about it anywhere... loving the production on this one - beat selection an the sample choices on them are honestly elite , however this one lost its steam towards the back end of the tracklist.
in some areas I'd say the abruptness and heaviness of the politically charged writing can be unnecessary and almost a little cringeworthy - however it is definitely the intention and you have to commend the duo for being so brutally honest throughout this tape. it also makes it much easier to overlook that as sonically this album is brilliant and original - and there are simply no shortcomings in regard to how album was produced and arranged.
i listened to this one on the train on my not so sound cancelling airpods - so not much to say other than Knowledge The Pirate continues to be a must-hear rapper for me and each release has me intrigued, this one was no exception.
whilst I can certainly appreciate the almost entirely self-produced effort, it's easy to get lost in the production when it's often the only interesting element of this release.
