Found these guys because of their paramore cover, and I have to say this is pretty damn great. Chelsea’s vocals are great and have alot of dynamic range. I love the dynamics in the mixing of the tracks with some sections having shoegazy elements and others hard indie rock riffs that kick ass. This is soooo bad ass

All killer no filler. Some slightly derivative moments, but I don’t hate a single track. The production is so crisp and the songwriting is genuinely great. Kick ass EP that doesn’t get enough attention

My god this album is incredibly sad. It perfectly captures the feeling of depression to a tee. I relate to this album heavily. The themes of isolation, depression, feeling of inadequacy in relationships, etc. I’ve never quite heard a lyricist like Lil Ugly Mane. Travis has a unique form of poetry that is not for everyone, but is incredibly powerful. “Feeling like I’m just a bridge for you to cross the street, you watch me fall apart and never intervene.” Benadryl ... read more
A pretty fun rage beat with some nice vocals and a nice somber hook. A lil short which was my main concern with most of the tracks on smithereen. However not too bad

Legitimately really fun? Lmao I never thought he would pull through like this but this honestly one of his best songs in years

Breach is the sixth studio LP from Ohio Based duo Twenty One Pilots, and in my opinion one of their best since Trench. I’ll admit, I wasn’t too excited for this considering how inconsistent I found Clancy to be even if it’s an album that is still admirable. A lot of the hype from Clancy wore off quickly because of how spotty it felt. Breach proves that the band is still growing in some of the best ways possible. The singles still work in the album’s context as “The ... read more
help why is this so good. Lmao. Genuinely a great cover of Iris that features some nice vocals from Julia Wolf as well. The heavier aspects of the production actually work well with the messaging of the song. I hate that I like this lol

Hobo Johnson’s fall off needs to be studied. It’s actually insane. This is an incredible album experience. An incrediblely vulnerable and raw display. “The fall of hobo Johnson” has a wide array of pop, rock, hip hop, and spoken word that strikes a chord that I can’t quite explain. The manic appeal of this album may not be for everybody, but I love how cathartic and self righteous it is. “Typical Story” is a great tone setter. My only big gripe with the ... read more
“HYPERYOUTH” is easily one of the best projects the duo has released to date. “NO HANDS” was a fun project, but I felt like it was scratching the surface of something more robust. Fortunately, this is that project. There is not a single dull moment on this album. The flows, the beats, the features are all top notch. “Bust Down” sounds like something from the early 2000’s, with some fresh crunk flows that go over quite well. Tiacorine’s feature on ... read more
The winning streak continues
Drum Show is a badass almost grungy banger that could have easily landed on Clancy as a b-side. But I’m excited to see how it fits on the record. It’s nothing complex, but it’s just executed so well. The screams, the riffs, the more spacy and electronic elements of the track are also great. It feels like a nice sister track to Next semester in a way. Maybe just a little more heavier.

My first ever album review of Car seat Headrest!
Twin fantasy is Will Toledo’s magnum opus. It strikes a chord with me that I can’t quite explain. There are no skips. Every song feels like it has a purpose and reason why it’s there. “My Boy” starts low key, but transcends into a brilliant outro with Toledos blaring vocals. “MYAAAAAA BOIiIi.” It’s incredibly cathartic. “Beach Life-in-death” has multiple sections and switch up’s ... read more
Very one dimensional and also annoying. I feel like they are losing what made them special in the first place. It just sounds messy. Not the worst thing I’ve heard, but they have done wayyyy better

Getting classic Mac Miller vibes and I couldn’t be happier. The production and song writing rock. “Live Right” has a great chorus and sounds like something off of “KIDS” by Mac Miller. “Hyperyouth” is a hell of an opener, might be a lil better than bussit. I love the beat switches and and skillex sample. It’s so over the top, but they manage to toe the line so well between goofy and legit M.C, this fucking slaps so hard.

Not too bad, pretty standard alternative metal but glad to see the boys back. The riffs are pretty good and I like the shoegazy aesthetics as always. Nothing about really feels all too distinctive from what they’ve already been doing their entire discography, but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, the production is great and the’ve still got it.

Dre’s production took things to the next level; but this is still Gwen Stefani’s song and it’s still a banger.

Zelda with another brostep banger. I’ve been loving the direction on these recent singles and this is no different.
