Sammy Johnson - Prelude
80

A polynesian classic, not sure how I haven't rated this one already, big fail from me ig.

PlaqueBoyMax - Crash Dummy
33

PBM can produce his ass off, but doesn't have the vocals/rapping skills to match his production.

Sade - Soldier of Love
72

That A.V. Club review is wild asf. Jeezy is still gonna be played in a century from now. AND I LUV ITTTT

The album was a nice experience though, but it does it a bit samey after a while.

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
40

Bruno has always worn his influences on his sleeves, but these sleeve are way too clean and overpolished. This is like if D'Angelo went to make Voodoo with UMG instead of the Soulquarians.

Chief Keef - Skeletor
54

Pretty mid tbh, but it has some good moments.

RAYE - THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.
82

This album is honestly so overtly happy and campy that it overrides a lot of my usual cynicism. It doesn't have a lot of personal replay value, but I'm glad I gave it one in the first place.

Kanye West - BULLY
60

Kanye definitely did his thing here and was able to turn back the clock a bit. AI usage and updates aside, Kanye built his brand off of production and collaboration. The production was honestly still good, but if he didn't burn every bridge possible in the industry, maybe there would've been some actual verses on the songs worth listening to cause Kanye can't rap for shit rn. Compare the feature lists from his TCD to Donda then look at this.

Yeat - ADL
33

A Dangerous Summer is my ADL frfr.

Fetty Wap - Zavier
60

Honestly, not very confident he could reach 2015 status, but miracles happen. This was a nice comeback project and he still sounds good just needs the right team and producers.

Clara La San - Good Mourning
74

The album does tread over a lot of the same sounds and topics, but oh god does it hit late at night.

NxWorries - Yes Lawd!
74

Knxwledge and Anderson .Paak have their moments on this one, complementing each other really well with how unorthodox they can be.

Nas - King’s Disease II
70

I was surprisingly disappointed by a lot of what KD2 had to offer, it felt like it was had a lot of eye candy for me, but none of it really hit the spot. Nas's would flow effortlessly on one track, but then would take a step back on the next one. Production also didn't really help either. I was hoping that the features would help since I really like a majority of the artists that are on it, but they were pretty middling in my opinion as well (aside from Lauryn Hill ofc).

Logic - No Pressure
73

No Pressure didn't really have any standout moments for me, but was consistently good, something that Logic struggles with often. For a "retirement" album, it would've been a great send off.

A Tribe Called Quest - People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm
81

You gotta kick it, because the lowkey vibes are immaculate.

slayr - Half Blood
40

idk yall....

BTS - ARIRANG
27

You know you're cooked when the stans agree that the album isn't good.

heavensouls - westside trapped
78

Afrobeat-yo-ass. Those drums are punchy as hell.

James Blake - Trying Times
86

I wonder how the first person who figured out they could spin plates on a stick felt.

Jack Harlow - Monica
60

Twitter had me dying, but this isn't too bad of an effort from the man who jacks. All Of My Friends is a sleeper hit fs.

"I felt the same way, idk what it was (Dance Now being a 60 is a travesty tho) but each song's verses were all stellar but everything just lacked the "it" factor that I was expecting him to take in the same way that Denzel took. Although to a lesser degree in ranking, I agree with what you're relaying"
