Electric Wizard - Dopethrone

I cannot believe I have slept on sludge metal for this long

Gorillaz - The Mountain

They really like that chime sound don’t they

Slowdive - Souvlaki

I don't exaggerate when i say this. When the sun hits is one of the greatest songs of all time and one of the most profound things i have EVER heard.

SENTRIES - Gem of the West

Spoke to this very nice guy on Instagram to thank him for making this album

Swans - The Seer
85

Deadass had a dream that I was playing Roblox with Michael Gira and he said that this was his favourite swans album so felt right to listen to it. Thanks Michael Gira

Gang of Four - Entertainment!

Really fun album that feels way ahead of its time

Kanye West - BULLY

An ok release but literally like anything would have been better than vultures 2 with the horrible ai slop but nothing that really stood out or gripped me.

Mandy, Indiana - URGH

Listening to this while walking home in the dead of night 10/10 would NOT recommend. Feels like your gonna get jumped at any minute

Meshuggah - Koloss

Big the album

Swans - The Glowing Man
80

In swans’ final instalment of their trilogy they reach their most spiritual. To write a 30 minute long song “the glowing man” to have that much quality across its entire runtime and never lose stream proves that swans are much more than their critical merit

One of the most impressive albums I’ve ever heard considering it’s made on less than $1000. The album jumps and pulls from many different sub genres whether that’s ambient, post punk, shoegaze, black metal with the only seemingly consistent being that it is all devastating. This is seriously one of the saddest and emotionally dissonant things I have ever listened to. An album that sits in its pain before a much needed cathartic wall of sound on earthmover. Crazy good album

LSD and the Search for God - LSD and the Search for God
65

Solid enough ep except for “starting over” which is exceptional

Deafheaven - Sunbather
90

Who knew black metal could be this beautiful honestly

Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders & The London Symphony Orchestra - Promises
90

A seriously serene album from start to finish. All three artists bring genuinely so much to each movement that creates a feeling of so much space, vastness and wonder.

80

Surprisingly the most whiplash inducing moment of this album is the sudden piano on phobophile

Various Artists - HELP(2)
70

Not liking it as much as others but still enjoyed it. Amazing lineup of artists all promoting an important and urgent cause

Burzum - Filosofem
75

A real challenge for separating the art from the artist

The Smile - Wall of Eyes
90

An album that even though had been made over 30 years after Radiohead started, proves to be one of the strongest in Thom yorkes catalogue
