There's so much to say about the Arctic Monkeys and through these subsequent album reviews I'll try to give as much as I can for how influential and incredible this band is for my life and music in general. This album is monumental for the genre, bangers all over the place and wrapped off with three of the best indie garage rock songs ever made, seriously. Alex sounds good for his age and Matt's drumming is somehow at its peak here. God I love this album so much.
With a nice little listen to Cornerstone at 3 AM, I decided to try this one out again, and honestly I think I'm back to my Arctic Monkeys era. The psychedelic vibes I get throughout is fun and even if I have no idea what the fuck he's talking about it's a dope album.
I used to absolutely rant about how this album is incredibly overrated, but after listening a few more times, I've warmed up to it. Mostly to a hyperfixation to the song "Sixteen Candles" and just playing it over and over. It has a consistent sound that really catches my attention. To put it simply, this album is filled with brilliant production, raw and hard enough energy to make it enjoyable, and the common flair you'd find with Alice's works around this time. You really feel the story develops and reading more about it the better it gets. Amazing guitar and drum work from the band, and "Wish You Were Here" is incredible.
