After listening to We Pray, I expected something worse than Music of the Spheres, but this ain't that bad. The album literally contains some of their best pop efforts.
So this is my first time listening to The Smile. My first impressions:
-Oh I like the acoustic guitar, this sounds like something from A Moon Shaped Pool or In Rainbows
-Wow this lady sounds a lot like Thom Yorke
-Wait a minute....is this Thom Yorke?
Hehe, nice, chill album.
This is as sincere as music can get. I hope he has mentally recovered from whatever he went through, and now, I wish him a speedy physical recovery. May he continue to make music for many many years.
I usually don't vibe with hardcore music, but this is alright, and I respect the artistry put into this. If anyone recommends similar albums, I'd gladly give them a listen.
She's experimenting, and that's great as an artist. It would be unfair to give this a rating because it's an ambient album, but I loved the gentle sound of the guitar.
Is this the "Pablo Honey" of Chamber Pop? Even the track "Dumb I Sound" is analogous to "Creep".
Femcels rejoice! Mitski did not retire, and she came back with a fantastic album.
