unironically a perfect album, i could jam to this album any time of day and it would be perfect for any situation
saw this on the front page, thought it was fake till i checked around, so (as a fan of sewerslvt) imma listen to this
first off, the start is atmospheric, which is probably important if jvne want's to change up her image (oddly reminds me of fake plastic trees in a way).
death of the endless is next, similar to the first track it's quite atmospheric, which i could see sewerslvt going into with her later albums (mostly "don't forget that", her last album). yet she does turn up the ... read more
so, no one has reviewed this album, so time to be the first in something :3
(disclaimer, i have s**tty, cheap, bluetooth headphones that are that "cheap good" if you get my drift, so if i say it sounds good, it sound's good with s**tty headphones)
after the intro, we have a double track, dr jekyll's track is about the doctor taking his live after mr hyde ruin's his life (at least, that's what i think, i don't know)
mr hyde jive is odd, it's an opposite of the dr jekyll's song ... read more
SOPHOMORE SLUMP CALLITHUMP is an album dealing with death and topics like it. as the creator of the album went through these experiences they made songs. the first album stomach book made (their self title) i felt flowed better, but i feel this is a bit more even paced. just... try not to mind the autotune, i listen to hyperpop sometimes so im somewhat used to it, but i didn't expect to hear it through out the album (mostly on track one)
the title track didn't have to use the n word, but other than that great album :3
okay, im probably gonna be the soul defender of this album, cause it's just kinda not well liked on this site. is this a good album... well it depends, a good rock album is not it. but an album like life is but a dream is what i'd like to call a "drug album" or "an album where it's inspired by drugs". it's clear everyone writing was on drugs and it was probably to deal with the failures of past (or trauma from losing friends/family) and this beautiful disaster is the child ... read more
my twitter moot was right, this really is 1 hour straight of just guitar feedback noises.
i only know this album for the singles, and that's all i listened to, the album sucks. listen to something good like sewerslvt
it's not deathmetal, but it's D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L, knowing the story behind how this album was found first was good, because going in without it would leave you heavily confused (hell, even knowing what it was going in i was expecting something like sewerslvt meets radiohead). but going in the album reminds me a lot of the sadder tracks off of ok computer. i love this album, but than again i just love indie music so it's obvious why i would love it
sonic rock music, for an hour and 30 minutes, the songs are good but i recommend not listening in one go. that's my advise for you, listen to each track individually cause after a while all the tracks kinda mush together
as i only knew cudi from kids see ghosts i was not sure what to expect going into this album, however i am pleasently surprised. the flow is amazing and the lyrics are akin to early kanye (late registration to graduation era kanye). the album is quite the nice listen and i might go and listen to other kid cudi projects after this
i can imagine listening to this in a dark mood, however the vocal's are just not my bag, while im typically positive on albums i just don't really like the vocals on this. however i do like the instrumentals, as the lowkey tone of them is really nice on my ears
there is no real way to say it, but nirvana's album nevermind is so good that anyone should listen to it. the album is so good, even as it peters out at the end i still enjoyed my time listening to this. however i listened to this with the final song being "endless, nameless" which was a hidden track originally (like the bong rip and Damone from deaftones or untitled/genchildren from kid a by radiohead). i think endless nameless wraps up the album nicely. but if you're listening to ... read more
sometimes you find a project made from the heart, either to tell a story, or to be a vent piece about an event in the creator's life. stomach book's self titled is entirely composed of tracks about different traumas they went through and it leads to this noise filled album that im glad to of discovered. the track animals seems to be the most popular and i can see why, as it's the least noisy/most easy entrance point to stomach book's music. track 4/folie a deux is my personal favorite though, ... read more
