It is insane that this is a debut album, this is a fantastically flowing timeless set of tracks that you just gracefully enjoy and glide across as a listening experience, you would of thought this is an album of two veterans. Phenomenal
After sitting on this album for a week with various relistens, I rate Vanisher a 88, being below both my rating for Scrapyard (92) and IDMTHY (100). Of course at 88, it is still without doubt a fantastic put together album, maybe the long wait and anticipation made me expect too much, maybe it being more of a cohesive storydriven album like idmthy, made me believe that it'd be just as or close to the same level, so yeah perhaps I over expected for this album.
Various songs like Waging War, ... read more
Phenomenal, this guy's found his sound and is polishing it and delivering it a top level. I can't get enough
this being ai is such a shame as its hard to deny it sounds quite beautiful.
most likely this direction will grow on me and others but it's hard to make it live up to previous sound
Not actually much of a fan of Jane Remover's regular sound but their approach to Indie Rock/Shoegaze is quite fantastic, this entire track list is very enjoyable.
Perfect for those who wish to sometimes just wish to forget the world outside a little and just daze into nothing, sometimes we need some of that.
never really ever liked anything Travis Scott, the way most of not all his songs are mixed and his vocals are mixed into his instrumentals to me never sound cohesively working together and is drowned with autotune to the max, I just generally don't understand.
I absolutely enjoy the songs that just delivered this punch, rough, tough grit that has me jamming along as the lyrics and vocals fit each metaphorical punch, I'm listening, I'm enjoying it's some of the best I've heard all year. however then in-between this there is these tracks that are trying to deliver something more meaningful and trying to do in a more melodic sense but trying too hard to still fit with that rough style and it suffers deeply, it doesn't flow and ... read more
certainly could of went for singles with a lot of these songs, personally my idea of an album is a cohesive idea and style, a flowing piece that works together. While most of these songs are not bad in their own right, as a album together it is all out of place and hard to grab anything from it. I don't feel right rating it when the actual songs and productive are fine and enjoyable, but then as a full listening experience altogether its very hard to grab. It's a album where if you ... read more
Was a bit on the sceptical on the release to this album, however it is nothing but once again a consistent and beautiful set of songs from Carner, one thing I have always admired about him is as a human he's so open, genuine and real and that always speaks through his music so easily, everything about him and his music feels so authentic, all his albums have all been a story of how his life is going, has been going and was going. This one is a beautiful tale of finding beauty in his flaws, ... read more
The last two singles on track for this album tbh while certainly not being bad, were not capturing me, I was always gonna tune in. But after hearing these two epically lyin, man. Beautiful. Excited now.
Certainly not what im used to from the band, but I can't say I don't like it
Unfortunately, this one doesn't live up to the past two albums of Tecca that I both really really enjoyed, ashame as I think it had some of the best build up single releases for it as well but the rest of the songs to come with for me really feel forgettable and hardly stand out, this one is quite passable for me.
