I find this album interesting bc it is grim-dark, repetetive, industrial, slimy and sludgy, bleak, disgusting, tribal, pummeling, gutteral (and filthy?).
And yet...
It seems to me to be a very vulnerable work of art.
When someone screams from anger, it usually comes from a place of hurt. Looking at Michael Gira's past you will start to understand the agony of this record. Even if they are not directly connected, i still feel such brutality comes with one's pain. Like a mad dog ... read more
MOST EXTREME SHIT OF THE 80S
...This is mental
This is a 1st wave black metal album on the surface. But, If you look a bit into it, you can see elements of doom metal (dead was also in a candlemass music video), death, thrash and grindcore. Some moments feel like its dsbm napalm death.
It's a fun ride in 17 min!
Edgy Constipated artists playing mediocre motorhead.
So overated. With an album that inspired so many cool great bands I would of hoped for something else and not this.
Not every song here is amazing but thr vibes are off the roof!
Wouldn't actually give this a 100
But...
For some of the bars I fell of my chair. They were that crazy! I bent a very sturdy leg off of my reasonably old chair by falling very fast while still firmly sitting. Bent it to the point where I now balance on 3 legs and shift my balance to be able to sit on it.
I wish this was a joke 💀💀💀
That alone gives it a ten, no song got me flying off chairs like that 😂
Underrated!
Where are the fans???
CALLING ALL LAIBACH FANS🗣🗣🗣
🔥🔥🔥💖🗿🔥
OG industrial fans assemble!
When humanity crumbles it will use old pipes and pieces of scrap to make tribal and manic music like Sila and Država
And the more Atmospheric pieces are like adcenturing into old butcheries and abandoned meat factories!
Not the same power like Filth by Swans, but, still amazing nonetheless.
Will be exited to discover more of their catalog of this period in their ... read more
Favorite Movies (Not in any Order) #7: The End of Evangalion
Anime, Psychological Drama, Mecha, Surrealism, Psychological Horror, Disaster, 1997
ONLY WATCH THIS FILM OF YOU HAVE SEEN THE SHOW, NO EXCEPTIONS.
This will not be a long or persuasive because if you have finished Neon Genesis Evangalion and enjoyed it, you will want to watch the cannon ending to the story.
An absolute statement and artistic vision, this movie is Experimental and unusual to say the least but still keeps itself ... read more
3 extra points for having Dark Side of the Moon in it's name.
Favorite Movies (Not in any order) #6: Зеркало (Mirror)
Experimental, Slow Cinema, Family Drama, 1975
A string of thoughts played out in the most gorgeous way possible. Mirror plays out like a Russian Poem going from one idea to the other, flowing like a lotus on a gentle stream. A meditation and self reflection. A mirror is put in front of you for you to understand your own meaning of the film. The raw power of this film can not be understated, from scenes with long, messy and tangled ... read more
Favorite Movies (Not in any order) #5: Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Comedy, Adventure, Medieval, 1975
An absurd comedy that is a blast and I would love to erase this film from my mind so I can watch it again. If you want a good laugh and jokes that are really memorable and quotable, this movie is for you. On the other hand, it is old 70's British humor, that can come off as a bit dry and stupid.
I recommend (order) you to watch this film.
One of my favorite movie scores of all time. This score is pretty much an album, you can listen to it on its own.
I'm a prog head and I heard a bit of punk rock and have listened to a gorilla biscuits album which was pretty good, but that was about it. This is the only other punk album I heard from start to finish, cause I'm new and a lot of what I have Heard I did not like. I did not know if I should review this one. I listened a couple of times while I was biking and it grew on me but it's still very repetitive, I'm glad it's only 29 min.
If you got punk recommendations please recommend me some.
I tried singing along and...
Now I know to never do that again.
Favorite Movies (Not in any order) #4: Pulp Fiction
Gangster Film, Dark Comedy, Crime, Drama, 1994
A very underrated film you probably never heard of and you shouldn't, it's trash. I watched some lunatic youtuber rant about how this movie is one of the most influential, but I think this is a bunch of bullcrap. I don't see the influence in the newest episode of Young Sheldon! And the writing isn't even that great, Who cares about the pretentious dialogue.
I recommend this movie to people who ... read more
Enter... LSD!!!
Favorite Movies (not in any order) #3: The Holy Mountains
Drama, Surrealism, 1973
Another beautiful and wonderous experience filled with strong political commentary and religious symbolism. Which tells a story of a quest to find immortality with 9 elites from different planets and a Christ like figure.
I recommend The Holy Mountains to people who want to watch a movie that is family friendly and tame, not weird.
Just watch it.
Favorite Movies (not in any order) #2: Perfect Blue
Psychological Thriller, Anime, Drama, 1997
An intense experience with some of my favorite moments in all of film. A lot of the themes in this movie are more relevant now then ever!
I recommend this movie to Innocent K-pop stans (even though we know those don't exist).
Favorite Movies (Not in any order) #1: Earaserhead
Experimental, Horror, Sci-fi, 1977
A movie that has a atmosphere and a symbolic experience like no other, and very rewatchable.
Earaserhead is a film I recommend if you are a pregnant woman or a father thinking of having a child.
