The 2nd of the 3 albums released tonight by Drake is...boring. This album might as well be the B-Sides to the Iceman rollout. Nothing stood out and it felt like a drag to get through. Drake songs in 2026 should not be getting near the 4 minute mark, LET ALONE, go over it. Nothing burger of an album that should not have seen the light of day
The first of 3 albums dropped tonight by Drake starts off as a fun dance club album pulling heavy house music influence. Hoe Phase is an incredibly hype opening track that leads you to expect a similar vibe throughout the album. Unfortunately, it dips as it dissolves into a typical modern Drake album. Not an album that is to be taken too seriously. The Sexyy Red track is a fun one despite the early discourse on it, but at the same time, we shouldn't be taking Drake seriously in the 2020s
A great album from on of my favorite bands. Their synthpop sound mixed with their millennial indie punk rock sound is sounding better than ever. Moral Compass was an unexpected favorite of mine, good to see Metric still going strong
Another excellent album from Jessie Ware! Once again taking much inspiration from disco but this time, her vocals are at the forefront. Vibrant, loud, and infectious...what else could you want
Seeing Mei live tomorrow as of writing this and with every concert, it's the perfect excuse to relisten to her most recent album. This was one of my top 5 albums of 2025, her bossa nova indie jazz sound is a standout amongst everything going on right now in music. It's so incredibly executed and Mei's vocals flow perfectly with her expert guitar-playing. Super excited to see some of these song done live as I'm sure they'll sound even better. An up and coming artist you ... read more
A really fun album, definitely a few standouts where she locks in and shows potential for an even greater sound. Album oozes personality and will be looking forward to what they do next!
A step down from their previous album. While trying a psychedelic approach, it leaves some track unnecessary repetitive but also forgettable. Strong start with a louder indie-rock sound that seemingly dims down at the end
Seeing them live at the end of March so it's only customary to listen to their discography right before. Really enjoyable indie rock album, while I'm not huge on the first 2 tracks as most are, the 2nd half of the album is a standout for me. Brooklyn Bridge is a great song. While nothing new, their sound is great and I'm sure their stage presence will just add to that
Was feeling nostalgic tonight and with the Micheal Jackson biopic along the horizon, I thought it was fitting to relisten to the defining album of the 80's. There are absolutely 0 misses on this album, every song is a defining classic of Jackson's career. When I first listened to Thriller years ago, it really didn't click for me yet. I thought the McCartney track was a bore and that the album was carried by the big 3 songs in the middle. Now in the present day, I can fully ... read more
Even an album made out of scraps is good when it's taking from The Beatles. At times the production can sound iffy but it's not like we've never heard their studio sessions beforehand. With Abbey Road being the true send-off, Let It Be is a look back to what made the group so great
The magnum opus. This album was made to be played fully through with no skips. My absolute favorite album to play on CD due to the transitions being so effortlessly seamless. A true 1 of 1 in music history, the most decorated album of not only it's time but also music's history as a whole
There's always an odd one out of every discography it seems, while a lot of people don't count Yellow Submarine, it's not as bad as they make it seem. Really beautiful and cinematic arrangements for the movie that have 0 negative affect on the group's legacy
First time listener of James Blake and it wasn't too bad! His style didn't fully click for me till the track with David. The 2 following tracks were great but the rest of the album is probably something I wouldn't return to. Great vocals and definitely talented when it comes to his instrumentals
Never has a mess been more innovative and near perfect than the White album. Taking 3 of the most prolific songwriters of the time and forcing them to fit their creativity into a 30 track album is going to lead to some sort of clash but only The Beatles could somehow make it work and release an album that would have so much influence in the decades to come. This album has it all, slow and beautiful ballads to heavy distorted sounds that were pillars to hard rock. One of the very few cases where ... read more
An album that feels like a pitstop, it's got quality tracks but for me, it's never felt fully constructed. Still amazing and shows how good The Beatles are even when it's not fully there for me
When I first started getting into the Beatle's discography, I believed Sgt. Pepper's was the band's best ablum. Fast forward a couple years and this album still holds up as one of their best. While not my #1 anymore, no other album really has a personality like this one. I loved the psychedelic sounds of Within You Without You most. While I've never been as big on the title track as many people are, I can't deny it being an iconic opener to one of their most ... read more
While on my Beatles re-listens, I thought it was only right to properly review the album that heavily influenced the direction of Sgt. Pepper's. Without a doubt, the best baroque pop album ever, it's symphonic melodies matched with the groups harmonious vocals leads to an album unlike any other. Brian Wilson's magnum opus, a work that is cemented in music history
Coldplay's best album in my opinion. From the hauntingly beautiful opener that is Politik to the end track Amsterdam which is just an embodiment of everything Coldplay is so good at. Always a favorite to listen to and I will forever sing my heart out to Clocks
Right after Rubber Soul, The Beatles drop what is perhaps their best album. An amazingly creative and innovative album that not only builds upon the new sound introduced in their previous album but expands into psychedelic sounds they would soon be synonymousfor. A damn near perfect album but unfortunately, Doctor Robert is on this.
