The Beatles - Rubber Soul
97

Never has a band made such an enormous leap in quality than The Beatles. This is the album that solidified the group as seriously talented artists, a damn near perfect album released in the same year as their 2nd soundtrack album. The difference is truly night and day, the melodies are finally clicking and the folk approach gives new life to everything the group was already so good at. A staple masterpiece in the catalog

Blur - Blur
84

One of the 2 albums that I think marked the end of britpop, the album's darker and heavier tone leans much more into alternative rock that is synonymous with America's late 90's post-grunge sound. However, this is not a downside on the album, Blur's venture into alt-rock lead to some underrated tracks such as You're So Great and Strange News From Another Star. Of course, you can't ignore the loudness and intensity of Song 2 as well. All in all, great album from a ... read more

PinkPantheress - Heaven knows
86

Pink's most underrated project. For her first full album, she demonstrates that she's more than just 2 minute bedroom pop beats. I don't hear much talk about this album and it's amazing production which is unfortunate beacuse Another Life is an incredible opening track, definitely a gem in her discography. Seeing Pink's progress as she continues to only get better makes me excited for her next full album release!

The Beatles - Help!
85

Big fan of both of The Beatles' soundtrack albums, they're both consistent when it comes to the songwriting and the overall sound. Of course, you can't talk about Help! without mentioning Yesterday, probably the group's first real grail in their discography that showed that they can be more than love songs and rock 'n' roll. Good album and a farewell to the early Beatles

Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
97

Most likely the biggest contribution to britpop as a whole, Oasis' Morning Glory is a one of a kind conglomerate of Britain's loud but melodic sound. The Gallagher's outdid themselves on this album, truly a favorite of mine and will stay that way for years to come

The Beatles - Beatles for Sale
79

About the same quality as With The Beatles, a strong start featuring some of the bands most underrated songs like No Reply. Unfortunately, the album starts to fizzle out at the end, alright tracks but it's what is expected out of '63-'64 Beatles. These boys better start to innovate or they'll never make it ;)

Blur - Parklife
95

A quintessential bitpop album, no 2 songs sound the same. One of Damon's most creative records featuring a variety of sounds, To The End is a stunning baroque pop song that I believe is a top 5 in their discography. Of course you also have the catchy tune that is Boys & Girls but my personal favorite track is Clover Over Dover. Every track is incredibly unique which collectively make one of the best britpop AND 90's album of all time

Rochelle Jordan - Through The Wall
81

Seeing her live this month so i wanted to revisit her latest release! A really amazing fusion of house and r&b music, the energy throughout this album is awesome and encourages some type of movement. I'm sure alot of these tracks will be better in person

The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night
82

For the group's first fully self-written album, it's a great showcase of their early songwriting and instrumentation. Probably the best work of their early years

The Beatles - With The Beatles
80

An album with a strong start that gradually gets less and less interesting. A good amount of tracks suffer from sounding too similar, it doesn't fully sour the listening experience though but it does make it one of the less memorable albums in the bands discography

However, All My Loving is a clear standout and easily in the top 5 songs for their debut year, unbelievable song coming out of an otherwise ok follow up to their debut

The Beatles - Please Please Me
88

A well-varied debut album featuring the catchy sounds of the 60's, Lennon and McCartney's self-written songs are nice standouts amongst the many covers. No wonder they blew up in the states

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
65

The best song off a dance-pop album being a slow ballad is a telltale sign of the album lacking in said genre. The quality picks up towards the end with tracks like Pop and Dance No More but even that wasn't enough to uplift what was a mostly boring album. Alright attempt from Harry trying to capitalize on the dance-pop craze

Tame Impala - Currents
89

An album you can visualize with its sound alone
Currents has 3 peaks; Let It Happen, The Less I Know the Better, and New Person, Same Old Mistakes. Just like currents, this album has its highs and lows. Never are these changes sudden though, in fact, they are controlled and rhythmic. Throughout your listen, you're riding high on its peaks and slowly coming down with the tracks following. An amazing work from Kevin and it's deserving of it's praise

Steely Dan - The Royal Scam
98

Steely Dan only gets better with time, their funky jazz rock groove is stronger than ever. The Fez is an all-timer in an album with 0 misses. Without a doubt, one of the strongest albums in their catalog. A couple more listens and this could easily be a 10/10

Steely Dan - Can't Buy a Thrill
95

Your 20's urge for sleazy 70's jazz rock, Steely Dan's insanely unique groove is unmatched

Gorillaz - The Mountain
95

Without a doubt, Damon's most spiritually connected album. The album sounds exactly like a lkng winding journey through the unknown. Always been a fan of Damon's slower melodic sound and this album delivers with its beautiful instrumentals. Loved the features, a Gorillaz project is never fully itself without their signature mashup of styles. An amazing contender for AOTY

Mitski - Nothing's About to Happen to Me
90

An amazing return to form by Mitski, her songwriting is a standout throughout the album along with the distortion in what is a beautifully crafted mess. Big fan of the chamber sound of this project, step up from their previous album for me personally

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
70

Just more Bruno and I can't really complain, enjoyed the funky groove throughout the album but no track really stood out as Bruno's next big hit. Something serious is a going to be a guilty pleasure

BLACKPINK - DEADLINE
45

Jump and GO are great stadium blasters, Me and My was alright, last two tracks are about what you expect from BP in 2026

PinkPantheress - Fancy That
95

My favorite EP of 2025, Pink only gets better with each release and continues to prove she is a someone to look out for when talking about producers
