Shakira - She Wolf
95

you know what this is superb album. i love it so much. it should be a 100 but im not interested in the spanish versions of the songs😭😭 just my preference. every other song is a 100. i wonder how she managed to venture into electropop/dance-pop and do it so well. i’m not a big shakira listener but wasn’t she just latin pop/rock? it’s so impressive that she did this album so amazingly. love her

highlights: she wolf, did it again, long time, why wait, good stuff, men in ... read more

wow what a perfect and timeless record 😭 she’s really the blueprint for everything in life, no one was doing the dark electropop style until britney! ugh she’s just life itself sorry i can’t help but fawn over her while writing this. the production, her vocals, just wow. love you brit

Mariah Carey - Butterfly

i think the aspect of this album that has caught my attention the most is the beat production. mariah’s vocals, as always, are lovely of course, but the production to me is very intricately executed. sometimes i just listen to the album’s instrumentals. i don’t know how music was in 1997, but i highly doubt anyone was making music in this calibre (if you’re reading this and you know an album like butterfly then pls reply it :))

butterfly is tied to a lot of memories of ... read more

Wham! - Music from the Edge of Heaven
70

great record, 4 songs i really love and give 10/10s. although i hate wham rap, hearing another version of it was just torture. also the pudding mix of last christmas is horrid

highlights: the edge of heaven, battlestations, i’m your man, where did your heart go?

Dominic Fike - Sunburn

i love this album so much, it was everything to me in 2023! every song was always some kind of story to me. i’ve honestly never heard anything like it before, which could mean i haven’t heard enough albums in my lifetime lol. it’s still really unique to me anyways

George Michael - Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1
100

perfect album from start to finish. you don’t see that everywhere! i wish volume 2 came out

Lana Del Rey - Henry, come on
100

my fav lana song!

100

perfect album that got me through a rough mindset when i was getting into grade 12. even if i ignore the memories i have tied to nevermind, it’s still a perfect album sonically. i don’t believe anyone that listens to this and gives it less than a 100

highlights: *every song*

Justin Timberlake - Justified
95

i think the overall view on this album is pretty bad (as per the user score) and i’m so confused… this is an amazing album! it has that it factor that i think only certain albums capture idc. this is a great record and every listen is so refreshing because there’s so many layers to these songs for me to hyperfixate on. tracks 9-11 feel like filler tracks to me personally but it’s not a bother. i only didn’t like track 13 because i found it to be a sloppy ... read more

Andy Gibb - Shadow Dancing

god i miss him. what a great talent lost. i think this album starts off really great with the first 5 tracks but then starts to fall off a bit, but the other 5 tracks are still okay/amazing

highlights: shadow dancing, why, fool for a night, an everlasting love, (our love) don’t throw it all away
