Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
95

IGOR is a deep dive into Tyler's emotional state and his most personal album he has made in his career. Not really a rap album per say, but Tyler still has some solid rapping performances along side his awful singing which just works so well to his sound. Truly a classic and Tyler's best in his catalog.

Danny Brown - Stardust
80

A little up and down for a typical Danny Brown album. That being said it is definitely a fun new expirience for his sound. It's not as chaotic as you may want from a Danny album, but it has some bops. I think Danny himself is great some of the features really make or break some of these songs. The End is going to be remembered in his catolog.

21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin - Without Warning
65

21 Savage ruins the vibe so hard on half the songs, like "Still Serving" honestly fun verse from Offset for 50 seconds surrounded by pure monotone talking by 21. 21 Isn't completely awful he does have some fun verses on this, but I really wish this was just a solo album for Offset, he brings the energy and the fun to this album. 21 with a few features would be fun but there are too many songs where he is the primary focus with a single Offset verse where 21 just kills the vibe ... read more

Young Thug - So Much Fun
80

So Much Fun is so much fun. There are some seriously great beats on this album and Thug does his part very well. This is my first Thug album and I enjoy his voice and flow a ton. There are some serious skips here but only a few to where it doesn't tank the rating of the album which as a whole is a great and enjoyable listen.

JAY-Z & Kanye West - Watch the Throne
78

While there are certainly lows on this album, some of the most iconic songs of both rappers show up here. Otis is one of the best produced songs of Kanyes discography, Fellas in Paris is known by everyone. Yes Ye and Hov have both made better music, but I do believe this album is a little overhated.

Kanye West - The College Dropout
100

This is the greatest album Kanye has ever made. This album is the reason more multiple revolutions of modern rap, and was the birth of Kanye West's rap career. The story of a proven producer trying to prove he was worthy of being an mc and not a producer rapper. Kanye's story when he was younger was an inspiring and impressive come up and the album he put together was truly special. Through The Wire is one of the most clever songs ever made, All Falls Down is one of the catchiest, Two ... read more

Danny Brown - Old
82

Another quality album from Danny Brown, who can't seem to miss. I don't believe this is on par with XXX but it certainly isn't far off. In typical Danny Brown fashion there are a ton of deep and emotional tracks that really hit home.

Danny Brown - XXX
88

Danny Brown comes through with a great sophmore album, another deep and meaning album with great lyricism. Danny does something incredible where he raps half the album in what I call his "wacky" voice and then the second half in his regular voice, and have it connect to the theme and story of the album. (Sidenote the deluxe song "Witit" is one of my favorite Danny Brown songs.)

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
95

Such a deep and wild album, Danny Brown goes crazy on this album, in two ways. The rapping is incredible on this album, the production is even more incredible. Its such a wacky and one of a kind sound that only Danny could throw together. That being said its such a serious and important message to hear about the giant drug addiction the earth has right now. Truly a one of one kind of album.

Travis Scott - Rodeo
90

This is the best album of Travis Scott's career. This has a case as the greatest trap album ever, if you are getting into Travis Scott this is the album to start with. This is a no skip album imo, it has everything you would want in a trap album and more. Not just some of his most impactful and lyrical songs but its literally full of bangers.

Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake
75

A very solid release from Uzi, although this is a very inconsistent album for his standards, it brings a conceptual side that you wouldn't typicially see on an Uzi album.

Lil Uzi Vert - The Perfect LUV Tape ®
75

Do I believe this is the perfect LUV tape? No, but it is another solid release from Uzi who consistently moved the bar for trap in the 2010's.

Lil Uzi Vert - Luv Is Rage 2
80

Hit after hit, if you have heard a Uzi song there is about an 80% chance it's on this album. Great follow up to the original LUV is Rage, it definitely one ups the original imo.

Lil Uzi Vert - Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World
79

LUV vs. The World is one of the most imporant trap mixtapes to come out, this really set Uzi's sound into the mainstream. At only 33 minutes this mixtape is short but absolutely sweet. Definitely some of their best work nearly a decade later.

Lil Uzi Vert - Pink Tape
81

Personally my favorite album from Uzi. I understand why this isn't everyones sound, and I understand some of the negative feedback. That being said, this album has energy, and so many bangers its hard not to keep moving when listening to this. It makes this album such an enjoyable experience imo. It is a touch inconsistent, but the highs are Uzi's best.

Nas - Illmatic
100

It's literally Illmatic

¥$ - VULTURES 2

Why does this exist

Kanye West - Graduation
92

Kanye West made Graduation. I know his other albums like Late Registration is a much better rap album, and MBDTF is probably better produced (honestly really close), and yes this album has Drunk and Hot Girls on it, that being said this is my second favorite Kanye album. This album is full of the most well known rap tracks of the 2000's you may not realize it but you have probably heard near half of these songs before even listening to the album. Hit after hit in the first half and you get ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
100

Kendrick puts together one of the greatest story telling albums rap has ever made. His ability to paint the picture in your head is truly special, and the skits at the end really tie everything together. Sing About Me, I'm Dying Of Thirst is one of if not the greatest songs to ever touch the genre of rap and is a pivotal part of the story that happens throughout the album. Listening and learning Kendrick's perspective on his younger self's thoughts and actions and how they ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
82

A Tyler album without a concept is certainly different, as is the feel and sound of this record. This level of groove and high level dance music hasn't been in the mainstream is decades and it's honestly a fresh new sound for an older sound. Don't go into this record expecting any deep cuts like Tyler's other albums, this is just a very enjoyable and fun listen.
