The more I listen, the more I'm in love with this album.
It's noisy, it's simple, it's beautifull, it's disgusting.
This album is a pure antithesis, where we can feel the love and the humanity.
Gorgeus, with thought-provoking poems, but also with a good sense of humor. Phil never takes himself too serious, and that's beautiful, that's human,
Trully a masterpiece.
Hmm, I don't know man. This was a bit too much pop for me idk. I prefer the rawness of 3.15.20 (even tho I'm also not a huge fan of that album), and this feels a lot cleaner and goofier (I guess).
I can see that this album is very bright and has a lot of dancier moments, but I also have a feeling that the "happiness"/"brightness", makes for some cringe production...
My fav track: The Violence
I just have a lot of personal connection with this album.
It brings some very good memories to me...
I know it's not a groundbreaking Deerhunter release, but man I love how fun this album is. And I don't really get it when people say it's boring... Idk :/
I'm a sucker for these :-)
It has some pretty fun songs here and there, but this is nothing outwardly and it gets stale in some moments.
I also gotta add, this is not the type of music I listen on a regular basis, but I got to give credit where it's due: this has some really interesting sounds and instrumentals!
Fav song: Public Grieving
Just a really decent compilation of ideas and scratched projects... A lot of bolt harmonies and really sweet moments.
Really really sweet.
