not bad, although i would've liked some more variation between tracks & more nuanced political commentary. my expectations were high because AJJ has released some seriously critical and witty songs in the past, but outside of mega guillotine 2020 i didn't think the record was all that creative or biting in its activism. still, some fun moments on this thing and a generally enjoyable listen.

angsty indie rock with a despondent, minimalist atmosphere. this record often utilizes moments of silence to evoke feelings of hopelessness and emptiness, which i find really effective; i only wish it were punctuated by more hard-hitting moments. since the whole album feels a little low-key, it started to bore me after a while. overall a nice lazy & depressive listen.

depression cherry is a dreamy and immersive listen. the tracks blend together for me, and while the hazy atmosphere is soothing, i found myself waiting for a stand-out song or moment that didn't really present itself. still, a beautiful record and easily relistenable ♡

super animated, rebellious and hedonistic dance-punk -- definitely frontloaded but still engaging throughout. sooo fun!!!

on the edge is satisfyingly droning and depressive but still maintains a lightness throughout that makes this release addictive & easily relistenable ♡
