Ok I like jenny death now
Old review:
Probably not a good idea to listen to what is apparently the least accessible death grips album first, but also it's the 2nd best album cover of all time so...
Ultimately I enjoyed this as much as I thought I would: not much, but I can tell it'll definitely grow on me. I didn't like NOTM at all, and Jenny Death was a lot better but still hard. On GP is a top 20 rap song of all time though, absolutely incredible

REVIEW 100!!
I knew I had to do something big for number 100, so having loved the last 3 swans albums I listened to (TBK, Glowing Man, Birthing) I decided to go for The Big One, and much to my surprise, I didn't actually like it that much. It excels in creating atmosphere and being unsettling, and is objectively very good, but I just could not enjoy it. Obviously the highlights like Helpless Child and The Sound are incredible, but the rest just isn't enjoyable for me. I thought ... read more

I put this one off for a long time, I don't know why but as expected it was really good. It started out a little weak imo, but disk 2 was amazing. Not much really else to say it was just really good and really emotional

Loooong overdue rerate from me but I first listened to this when I was just getting into music and absolutely hated it, and gave it a 0. While I still definitely don’t like it, it does have some interesting points and it’s influence is undeniable. I just don’t like trap

Was planning on doing some other albums for the last few before 100 but I've been interested in this for a while and had to listen rigt away. Anyway this is actually so awesome, totally feels like a medieval band was transported to the modern day. what an unexpected banger

After Imaginal Disk became my second favorite album ever, I knew I had to listen to this, and it was just ‘pretty good’. You can really clearly see the roots and how they would eventually blossom, but a lot of it was not super shocking and just kinda nice to listen to.

After listening to Swimming, I was worried because it took so long for it to click and be actually interesting that I didn't think I would like any of Mac's other albums, however this one immediately clicked. Only one song I'd consider a skip, and it's got such a cozy, warm feeling while somehow even improving on the amazing production Swimming had. Beautiful album.

Wow this one was kind of a letdown. For a while I've known that I don't really like Peggy's older stuff, but I still expected to like this one just a little more. I think the production is pretty bad here and a lot of the vocals are pretty grating, as well as the song structure just be bad.
