I wasn't a fan of the first half but this hooked me in unexpectedly from Tiramisu onwards (likely story), the final two tracks in particular hooked me in. In a weird way it reminded me of a lot of the music I was listening to in the 10s like Factory Floor and Tune-Yards), which were both very formative but hit-or-miss for me.

Favourite tracks: Funny Music, Tiramisu, Dynamite, Pluto is not a planet it's a restaurant, Klouds Will Carry Me To Sleep

This album is great! I didn’t really pay attention to the lyrics but the melodies are hitting!

Eastside Girls, So What and Mary Jane in particular struck me as career highlights - sonically they’re absolutely huge. Some of it felt a bit too congruent with their first album but I can’t begrudge them for that.

Lykke Li is one of the most consistent alt-pop girls and I've loved pretty much everything she's ever put out, and this is no exception. 'Lucky Again' is among my favourite songs of 2026 so far and thankfully delivers a bunch of other anthemic and catchy pop songs among the more subdued and languid album mood pieces.

Favourite tracks: Happy Noew, Lucky Again, Sick Of Love, Knife In The Heart

I will never tire of this type of lo fi soft indie rock - another one for my summer playlist

Favourite tracks: all the time, DIZZY, Another Life, Not in Love, KNOW ME BETTER

Aldous Harding - Train on the Island

What a beautiful, weird little album. I found her previous material a bit more sticky but there’s something so enveloping about this one. San Francisco and Coats are eyeing up platinum certifications in my padded cell, I fear!

Favourite tracks: One Stop, Train On The Island, Worms, San Francisco, What Am I Gonna Do?, Coats
