Just a very consistently good album. Doesn't try anything too out there but it doesn't need to because that's not it's purpose. It's a very will crafted commentary on the state of America right now that just simply works as an album
This is a very confusing album.
It feels like 2 separate albums that have been combined with absolutely 0 relationship between them. The back half of the album is Peggy slightly worse than his best, but still at a good level, while the first half, especially tracks 6, 7 and 8 are huge misses that feel like Peggy is trying to hard, but also not at all caring. A significant downgrade from Pretty Boy, this album feels like it does not have much character aside from being questionably horny. This album reinforces the male manipulator aesthetic that Malcom has and does so in a relatively uninteresting and repetitive manner. No songs are especially bad other than Jean Skirt, but nothing blows me out of the water like some songs from his previous project has done. A big improvement over Cub in my opinion. This album, I don't think, can be labelled as generic indie rock in the same way Cub can. There are clear ideas within this that I feel are well executed, in an overall good album
An album that is consistent throughout. No huge highlights, but not anything that I would consider near bad. A consistently solid to good album
