LONG LIVE THE ILLEST VILLIAN
this album is probably my favorite of DOOM's. i can vibe with all the songs, there's no misses. DOOM's rhymes flow like warm butter per usual and i like the theme of food present within the songs, the interludes, even the names and album cover. it doesn't stray from its original premise which some of DOOM's other albums tend to do a bit which is all great and good but i love the consistency here. the only reason this isnt a 100 is because of the sheer abundance of ... read more
this record seriously was just terrible. once i got to new faces v2 i honestly couldnt finish it. i was considering just stopping at uber but sticked it out and that was just my last straw. there's a few average, ok songs in here but for the vast majority this album is so repetitive and so much worse than any of mac's other albums. idk how anyone could like this. my ears were in some serious need of cleansing after this. i couldnt even be able to tell that this was the same artist who created ... read more
i love this album i love all the songs i love the themes everything it's just beautiful, tyler really proved himself with this album and honestly i can't see it getting much better than this. every song is a banger. there's really not much more than can be said. all i can really criticize for this is the skits, there's only one and it doesn't really make sense. i think he could've made some improvements on that or maybe added a few more to help develop the story. other than that 10/10!!!

i LOVE this record. easily identifiable because of tracks like big poppa and juicy, this record is an eye catching classic. and once you give it a full listen each song becomes more impressive after the last. biggie truly is a genius and this record demonstrates that to the fullest. with catchy samples from songs like machine gun funk, things done changed, and the what accompanied by biggie's ill flow, this record is my absolute favorite to vibe to at all times. he didn't even miss with that ... read more
this record took 4 years for frank to make which becomes clear as you listen to this well-thought out album. the themes, the language, the sound, even down to the interlude this album doesn't miss. my only issue here is personally i admire a bit of variety in records like this and all these tracks have pretty much the same vibe and a few are pretty similar sounding, too. but apart from that, frank gets really creative in this album and that's something no one can ignore. even down to the ... read more
this record is probably one of the best post mortem records i've seen with today's rappers. really chill vibe in this one but there's a ton of great stuff in here. there's a few misses but it's a pretty uplifting set of songs despite how chill they are and i'm really digging the connection with this one to swimming with the whole "swimming in circles narrative."
fav tracks-circles, blue world, good news, that's on me, surf
least fav-i can see, everybody, woods
i love all these songs honestly the only issue here is lack of variation that josh and tyler portray in other records. all these songs have the same depressing vibe other than maybe oh ms believer and pantaloon. a few songs just sound really similar to like johnny boy and pantaloon. i vibe to all these songs depending on the day but there's a few maybe less or more than others. this album def isn't for everyone and it is pretty depressing on top of that.
fav tracks- isle of flightless birds, a ... read more
this record sucks ass. twenty one pilots left the polls and went to kohls. stay ded friends cuz im out
there's a lot of raw creativity in this album and a bunch of cool songs with vibes i really dig on here. he's got a lot of variation when it comes to sound and story telling and it's def worth a listen. there's a few songs on here that just don't hit for me and i'd skip fs but also a few that really impressed me.
fav tracks- bad man!, trevor an'them, freak these tales
least fav- h-u-s-t-l-e, the pain, the animal
perfect album. one of the very few albums i can listen to in which my finger dares no where near the skip button. every song is solid gold and as overplayed as a few songs on here are the radio will never have any affect on kurt, dave, and krist's genius.
fav songs- territorial pissings, come as you are, something in the way, lounge act
least fav songs- none
unpopular opinion: this is tyler's best album. even the interludes and skits are bops, i just love the vibe and i am rockin with this whole record. there's a few songs i don't like but the good for sure outweighs the bad. i still wish he had used the voicemail songs in this record tho :(
fav songs- (WUSYANAME, SIR BAUDELAIRE LUMBERJACK, WILSHIRE, SWEET/I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE, RUN IT UP)
least fav songs- (HOT WIND BLOWS, MASSSA, LEMONHEAD, MANIFESTO, JUGGERNAUT
i love the vibe of this album. the intro and theme of being on this island is present throughout the entire record and it fits perfectly with the songs. there's a few songs on here that are a little iffy but looking past that this album hosts a few of my favorite songs. fav songs- (white flag, empire ants, rhinestone eyes, pirate jet, melancholy hill, broken) least fav songs- (glitter freeze, plastic beach, cloud of unknowing)
obviously there's a certain vibe for this album but when you're in that certain vibe, this album is a 10/10. great sound, every song is perfect to scream the lyrics to. and any past present or future emo kid who discovers this record or has already held it in their hands will agree, this record is pretty close to emo perfection. fav songs: give em hell, kid , thank you for the venom , im not okay , helena , i never told you what i do for a living
i could listen to this album on repeat, and im not ashamed to say that i have. the only reason i wouldnt give it a 10/10 is because of a few songs on this album that i think theres a few songs on this album that simply don't live up to their potential, like they did in three cheers. for example sleep, famous last words, mama, blood.
Overall easy listen album, short and sweet but definitely a little forgettable. The songs are highly similar, although there are some good songs on here but that doesn't dismiss the bland ones that go with it. (fav songs- 1 4 2, 88, rosary) (least fav songs- womack, i almost lost this)
