I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME - GLOOM DIVISION
76

I was actually really impressed by this. Being a fan of the older Panic! music I was thinking this could go either way and fortunately it is pretty decent. It has it's flat moments here and there but there are some strong tracks here. I also found there was a lot of influence from The Killers & The Strokes, which makes me feel like he left the band because of the direction of the music. Where Panic! went full pop, Dallon maintains his indie alternative routes on this record

Hurray for the Riff Raff - The Past Is Still Alive
61

It is a sweet little country project but nothing really stands out? Production, vocals and all that is put into this album is good, but it never reaches great for me. Maybe it just isn't my style of music but I just felt I was always waiting for a big moment that never came.

Mario Judah - Endure
0

This is my least favourite project from the year so far, not even the production is enjoyable, it's basic traps beats with the worst 808's I've heard in some time. The lyrics and melodies and delivery are so obnoxious, This was unbearable.

Nothing redeemable here.

22

It tries soooooo hard, and while it might be slay at times, it does fall flat on it's face and get old very quickly. Even if it is only 24 mins.

Friko - Where we've been, Where we go from here
87

This is an outstanding debut project, I had such a "I'm blown away" reaction I listened to this one three times. CAN let the homies know I fw this

Allie X - Girl With No Face
68

The production on this album is amazing, like some perfect 80s inspired synths and drum loops. But sometimes it does feel like it's doing a bit too much, or trying a bit too hard. Still enjoyed it but wish it was dialed in a bit more at times for a more refined sound

glaive - a bit of a mad one
70

I think overall theres only one song on this project I don't fw, but the rest is pretty swert

Mk.gee - Two Star & The Dream Police
100

I can't believe we got Music 2 before GTA 6, thank you Mk.Gee, I understand now!

serpentwithfeet - GRIP
67

I remember when I first came across serpentwithfeet, I had a weird on the fence experience with his project Deacon, however I found it grow on me a lot more. While this isn't as compelling and experimental, it is still pretty enjoyable R&B. I think sometimes the lyrics are a bit of an eyeroll, but they are quite vulnerable in a way too? No actual complaints here.

Caroline Polachek - Desire, I Want To Turn Into You: Everasking Edition
84

I don't think there is much Caroline Polachek can actually do wrong. If I had some minor criticisms, I think with an additional 7 tracks and 1 acoustic, maybe a short EP instead of a deluxe could have been interesting? Especially to break up the hour and 16 minute run time. Additionally it is hard for me to rate any deluxe highly especially when it's predecessor came out a year prior.

But aside from that. God she's just so good at making experimental pop music. every song she ... read more

Jennifer Lopez - This Is Me...Now
7

I had a really hard time with this album, so much so that I think I'm being extremely biased when I say it is hands down one of the worst albums I've heard in a long time.... Poor production choices, worse lyrics and melodies.... I never want to be put through this ever again

Jason Derulo - Nu King
16

THERE IS NOOO WORLD WHERE JASON DERULO SHOULD BE DROPPING A TWENTY SEVEN TRACK ALBUM. Especially since some of these songs came out in 2020, and one in particular came out in 2017!!!!! If this came out when this was considered semi decent radio music it would be half excusable, but then again I don't know what else I expect from him

The Snuts - Millennials
42

While there are some really fun instrumentals here, it is completely overshadowed by the obnoxious vocals and poor lyricism... It could be something half decent, but this style of cursive screech singing needs to stop

Ghetts - On Purpose, With Purpose
65

Overall a solid project even if it is a bit bloated at times. IT has a nice range too from the more up tempo tracks to the heavier ones with some proper heavy topics, which he seems to handle well.

I did enjoy but I couldn't tell you most of the names of the tracks from listening... Sampha feature is a huge plus

MGMT - Loss of Life
89

I just have a special place for these guys and their weirdo take on pop music. I have revisited this project so so much and I might be incredibly biased but it is utter beauty. It is peaceful calm sad and beautiful. Will not take any MGMT slander. You must respect my score.

EARTHGANG - ROBOPHOBIA
66

It isn't their best work in any means, and if they were going for a whole world building project.. they didn't really succeed. But it is fun and it has some good moments.

French Montana - Mac & Cheese 5
20

giving this a 20/100 so that for each version of the album combined it can be a 100!!! Hell yeah Mac and Cheese

Kid Cudi - INSANO (NITRO MEGA)
40

It is better in many aspects to the other one (which we try not to talk about) but then you have tracks liek Willis and Electrowavebaby 2.0 ( as if the first version wasn't bad enough) which just complete spoil this album. A lot of the time Cuid also seems to be carried heavily by features.

To me he's lost a lot of anything that made him likeable in his old music. To the point where when you hear dose of dopeness in the context of this album it puts a bad taste in your mouth :(

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
91

Quirked up white boy freaking it down sexual style

Yeat - 2093
74

This is an absolutely amazing album, but sometimes I need to be in the mood for it in full. Tracks in their own definitely hold up, but in a bulk album it’s a bit of a different story some days

Aside from that this is a really solid project and even more impressive work,
