Absolute Masterpiece. Hard to put into words, my appreciation for the technicalities of this album.
Favourite tracks: Right in Two / Jambi / The Pot

Without straying too far from the stylee of Radiohead, Thom's debut solo project incorporates the juxtaposition of his smooth voice and piano playing, against the glitchy beats, synthesizers and beat box backing vocals, to create grooves you can't help but nod along to. The lyrics are depressive in nature and are largely left to interpretation from the listener, making even Harrowdown Hill, (a track about dead British weapons expert David Kelly) feel relatable. Good work Thom 10/10.

An incredibly compelling, emotional album which captivates the listener through it's avant garde production and soulful vocals. Portisheads' debut album still holds up as one of the greatest trip hop albums of all time and some of the best music to come out of Bristol, UK.

Captivating poetry from Skinner, on an album that was extremely ahead of it's time and essential to the British popular music scene.
