Fuck fuck fuck.
Look. I’ve never been a big fan but this time? I really wanted to be. I wanted to love it and see the light. To become a 1975 Stan. But this record, well it had its moments. But it is inconsistency served with a platter of painfully useless songs.
There are so many songs on this album that are so utterly forgettable. So many random bits of filler. That is, the main issue with this project. The 1975 seem to have taken every start of a song they ever had, and tried to turn ... read more

At this point we've had nearly half the album as singles.
I've never been a 1975 fan, for various reasons. I have liked this set of singles more than any of their other stuff for sure, however there certainly comes a point when it just feels like their milking it. The album has been delayed twice, and in that time they've doubled the singles count!
Sure, some of the singles have been alright enough, and sure this isn't the worst shit I ever heard. But it is now the 8th single. Sure, the album ... read more

Has some really good moments but the janky piano synths it opens with feel a bit underwhelming. Still excited, just slightly less so for the album

New Killers and it's actually...... really good. really energetic, fun track! Whilst obviously they'll struggle to ever hit the heights of Hot Fuss, this is a pretty good attempt with the speed and fun of it. I'm super hyped for this album!

It isn’t good, but it isn’t particularly bad. Pretty bland but for green day fans it’s 26 enjoyable minutes.

How am I supposed to maintain my stance of hating these guys when the releases for notes have been so damn good?

Alexandra just confirmed she doesn’t need the other Alex to make an amazing record

This album is the perfect compliment to part one. Foals have done it right, really right this time. I am beyond satisfied!

Look in going to be honest I genuinely quite enjoy this album. Maybe it’s not 1989, but maybe that’s ok. As a pop record, it’s fun, it sounds good. Maybe it’s not excellent, but it’s good, and that’s a lot more than I was expecting after the first two singles.

I mean it’s just sick ain’t it

This album reinspires rock music for me, it’s sill there. The diversified approach to the sound adds a dynamic quality that is truly beautiful, however it’s one shortcoming is there “only” 7 new songs avoiding singles. Wish bands would cut the amount of singles they release haha! That said, it was an excellent album, and only required just a bit more to be one of my all time favourites!

I love it. I know I know, it’s very similar to their previous two albums and it’s ever so formulaic, but I love it! Every song has a story, Vann tells it, and puts it behind one of the most anthemic albums in a time where a lot of indie rock bands are going through a phase of experimentation! It keeps a sense of what I fell in love with altrock for, in the music scene, and for that, I give it many plaudits! Why change a broken formula?

Foals- On The Luna review
Rating- 90/100
One sentence review: Fun, catchy, light pop-rock that will fill a stadium as well as a bedroom.
On The Luna, the second track from foals highly anticipated 5th LP, part 1 of 2, is a fun, bouncy track that I find a great listen! Vocally, lead singer Yannis tends to jump through each word, just as the track is constantly on the move. It's very cyclical, but slick, and brings across a smile every time of listening. The song seems to almost rant at ... read more

Vampire Weekend- Harmony Hall review
Rating- 85/100
1 sentence review: For a comeback track, 'Harmony Hall' perfectly describes everything we've all missed about Vampire Weekend.
Although it's one of only two songs, 2021 being the latter, Harmony Hall is the kind of positive song I feel we all needed. Full of energy and with a killer acoustic guitar throughout, this marks the return of a divisive, but excellent, band. It sounds familiar, but not overly similar to their previous works, a ... read more

I can't fathom the dislike of this album, it appears to me that, due to it's mainstream and accessible nature, it can't be "good". I'm all for experimenting with music, but you can't deny that this album has some headbanging songs, even if it is familiar. But not all music has to be different to be good, I just enjoy the fact that I can ... read more

This album is spectacular. Alex turner manages to completely leave all that is normal about music and still release a magical album. I kid you not, star treatment is the fastest six minutes of my life every time. All the songs are pure class with such obscure topics I adore how he addresses the issues, and the rest of the band still make use of there parts. It’s an amazing album, so different and I understand why reviews are mixed, but for raw content. It is class

On thomasny18's review of Ed Sheeran - No.6 Collaborations Project
"I don’t like Ed but I disagree with his “fading relevancy”. That remark is a bit wrong. His album before this was his personal biggest, it was ginormous, and that was done on his own. He certainly has his own large fandom, there are a lot of people that idolise him. I’m not one of those people. Other than that this review is stellar!"
