Really fun and enjoyable listen, though I think it has a little too many skits/interludes. Besides this, there are no bad qualities of this album.
Best Song: Me, Myself, and I
Worst Song: (Technically) De La Orgee
Pretty good album, though it is very inconsistent. Also feels like they are trying to bring back 36 Chamber/Forever era Wu-Tang, and while they do it well sometimes, in most cases it does not have the same energy that the aforementioned albums did.
Best: Uzi (Pinky Ring)
Worst: Chrome Wheels
The songs aren’t necessarily bad, but this album misses one big word in its predecessor’s title, LIFE. It’s pretty clear in their voices and performances that they just didn’t want to do this anymore, I have the same opinions on the production: it’s good but it’s not at all suited for ATCQ.
Best: Find A Way
Worst: Hot 4 U
Absolute classic, love ODB’s chaotic personality and rapping style, especially over these RZA beats, the features were great too.
Best: Brooklyn Zoo
Worst: Drunk Game (Sweet Sugar Pie)
Woulda been way better if they weren’t saying they didn’t talk about fucking so much
Has some really weird and funny moments (literally a fucking Tutorial on how to suck a fucking dick). Though some cracks definitely show after Ice Cube, who they dissed on this album, left in late 1989.
A little bit bloated, but it avoids the issue of being extremely bloated, like most projects of this length are, overall this is another great Wu-Tang project.
Best: Triumph & A Better Tomorrow
Worst: Dog Shit (ironic af)
Huge fall off.
Despite the fact that I love the Dilla production style, and Quest’s rapping, it’s sad to say that these two don’t fit very well together on most songs. It more of dips in quality in the middle and near the end, then it picks back up, it also feels less laid back and more aggressive than the other two projects I’ve listened to before this.
Best: Word Play
Worst: Separate/Together
A very good album by kid cudi. Only real bad parts were the choruses, which for most songs I found pretty corny, but that doesn’t really matter. Besides that, there’s great production, a lot of emotions, and many other things I enjoy in an album.
Best Song: Up, Up & Away (The Wake & Bake Song)
Worst: Make Her Say
With my final Kanye review, and his tenth album, Kanye kind of delivers. It is definitely bloated in its 109 minutes, and is also the longest album I’ve listened to. Pretty inconsistent, but its highs are very high, and the lows aren’t that low, so it wasn’t all that bad, but it definitely doesn’t reflect on Kanye’s best work, but at the very least it’s his best since Pablo.
Best: Moon
Worst: Tell The Vision
Pretty similar quality and style to TLET, but it had moments of low quality (particularly at the end), but, besides those, there are no misses on this album.
Has some good moments, but this is still definitely a downgrade from his last two projects. I would have liked it way more if he put more effort in some songs and didn’t make the choruses so goddamn corny in some songs (K-I-SS-I-N-G & Undying Love especially). But, this is still a great album nonetheless.
Best: Nas Is Like
Worst: Money Is My Bitch
DOOM’s final solo album was a great project, though it slows down by a lot in the second half, and SUPERVILLAINZ is his worst song I’ve ever heard, leaving this album to be a bit underwhelming when compared with his others releases, it does still have extremely good moments
Best: GAZZILLION EAR & THAT’S THAT
Worst: SUPERVILLAINZ
From what I expected, this was pretty disappointing. Not necessarily bad, but not groundbreaking, or really “great”, just good or alright. The features, just like everything else, weren’t really anything special (besides the features on No Church In The Wild). Though the album does have highlights, so I can’t necessarily say it’s mid, but it’s definitely not that good either
Best: Otis (9.1/10)
Worst: Welcome To The Jungle (4.8/10)
