Huge, huge improvement from the mid Material that was The Never Story. On this album, JID sort of preludes the material that was on the Forever Story, overall the album is generally good with a few misses here and there.
Best song; Off Da Zoinkys
Worst song: Tiied
The songs are alright, most songs are just alright, but a few are good. J. Cole tries to go into deeper topics, but it has the same problem that KOD has, that being that Cole’s way of telling his message is extremely corny.
Best Song: Let Nas Down
Worst Song: Ain’t That Some Shit
Rating #200
Thriller is one of the most influential albums of all time, and the highest selling record of all time, selling (as of rn) over 70 Million copies. Along with this, it’s a very talked about album in the discussion of which album is the greatest. The album itself is definitely a little short, At only 9 tracks and 42 minutes, and despite the fact that I wish it would’ve been longer, that doesn’t take away too much from this album. Every song on here is good, with ... read more
This entire ass album feels like somebody trying to parody 2000s hip-hop. Some of the beats on here remind me of the Nintendo DS ass beat on Peanuts 2 N Elephant. The songs on here, besides the four good ones, suck absolute ass.
Best Song: Slide
Worst Songs: Clap, Take Me Thru Dere, & Jerry Curry
The album has a few notable songs (NEVER, Hereditary & LAUDER) but besides that and Somebody, it’s doesn’t have too much to offer. JID has definitely improved since this album
Best Song: NEVER
Worst Song: Underwear

808s & Heartbreak is Kanye’s album that changed multiple aspects of modern music. To start, it popularized the 808 drum, which after this album became one of the most popular drum machines out. It also influenced multiple of the biggest artists of the modern day’s styles and sounds, like Travis Scott, Drake, & Future, it additionally popularized autotune in hip-hop, which eventually became used in most hip-hop songs today. As for the album itself, it ... read more
Really lowered my expectations for Lonely At The Top.
In this album, which is a follow-up to his classic mixtape, 1999, Joey continues the more mainstream sound of ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$, but this time it didn’t sound as good as on that album. Along with this, on Westside Gunn & JID’s features were actually good, the other features were all just really mid, I don’t know why Joey thought it would be a good idea to put Diddy and Chris Brown on this album. Overall, this album ... read more

The third and final album in Ye’s College Trilogy, Graduation includes some of his most iconic songs, but also includes his worst two songs up to this point (Drunk And Hit Girls & Barry Bonds). Originally, this and TCD had the same rating, but as I’ve listened to these a few more times, the gap between them has grown apart, and my opinion on this album has dropped a bit. Overall, this album is really strong, with two more of my favorite Ye songs, I Wonder & ... read more

The College Dropout is where it all started for Ye, this is, along with MBDTF the most common answer to Kanye’s best album, personally, it’s Late Registration for me, but I digress.
This album contains some of Kanye’s best songs ever, like his first single “Through The Wire”, and the amazing posse cut that is “Two Words”, it also has another one of Ye’s most underrated tracks in “School Spirit”, but also has some ... read more
EDIT: the other day I listened to this two more times, and I was definitely wrong, this is his best album by a little bit
(94 => 98)
This album feels like a mix of the Wu-Tang style of all the albums leading up to now, combined with a more mainstream sound that kind of reminds me of pop music somehow? Really good album though, imo better than Supreme Clientele, really interesting album too since there are no Wu-Tang feats on this album, pretty much unheard of for a Wu-Tang member at the ... read more
YE REVIEWS PT. 1
Late registration, in my opinion is Kanye’s best album, there are no skips, no filler, and no track under 90, this album includes Kanye’s most meaningful song, Hey Mama, and his best song, We Major, also has one of his most underrated tracks in my opinion, Celebration, and one of his most iconic tracks, Diamonds From Sierra Leone. The album has perfect production, features from artists like Lupe, Jay-Z, Nas, and Common, and just overall perfection in every metric, ... read more
The differences between this and Earl’s previous project “EARL” are extremely noticeable, Earl is sadder, more serious, and he’s not saying any extremely offensive things, these things are a huge change, but they also lead to a much more complete, meaningful, and most of all, better project from Earl.
Best Song: Chum
Worst Song: 523
Another Wu-Tang solo classic, Supreme Clientele is an album with very few skips, though the skips are usually pretty bad tracks, the album is far from perfect, and definitely not as good as it’s predecessor, Ironman, the album is still extremely good.
Best Song: One & The Grain
Worst Song: Who Would You Fuck
Joey Bada$$ once again delivers an amazing project. Topically, as the title suggests, this is way more political, and the sound of this album is definitely more mainstream than his other projects, not that that takes away from the albums greatness.
REVIEWING ALBUMS I NEVER REVIEWED, PT.1
“Goblin” is Tyler’s second album, and widely considered his most violent album ever, and also his worst. I disagree with both of these, to me Bastard is way more violent (listen to Sarah) and has more worse songs than this does. To me this is the second best album of Tyler’s pre-Flower Boy era.
EDIT: 98 ~> 95, listened to it twice more and the hype died down a little bit
Before last week I hadn’t even heard of Quadeca, but now I genuinely think he has the best album this year, the soundscape, the emotions, everything on this is near perfection, no misses on this project, this is the best Friday for music in the year so far
Best Song(s): GODSTAINED & FORGONE
Worst Song: N/A
The Alchemist and Freddie Gibbs are back at it again with their *third collab album, the album is definitely more Asian-themed, as seen in the album cover and soundscape of the production, but it also still has the classic Alchemist style. Freddie’s rapping is nothing different from what I expected out of him, the features are also really good on this.
Best Song: 1995
Worst Song: N/A
Denzel once again delivers a strong album, with this album getting more personal than any of Denzel’s previous works in my opinion.
Best Song: Walkin
Worst Song: The Smell Of Death
50th Review!!
Not a bad album, production was good(obviously), but in terms of the rapping/features and soundscape it’s really nothing that special.
