One of the most devastating concept albums ever made. The album is about toxic relationships told through a crushingly sad metaphor of a hospice nurse falling in love with their terminal patient. It’s so over the top in the best way possible. Makes for an incredibly emotional and beautiful listen. Definitely one of my favorites.
I think this is similar to the Red House Painters self titled in the sense that it’s great music that I rly enjoyed but probably won’t revisit

This album is fucking absurd. It’s absolutely album of the year without a doubt in my mind. I was never really the craziest black midi fan. So I’ve been anticipating today for a while now and it’s very safe to say that I am absolutely blown away. Not only has The New Sound absolutely floored me but this album has too. It is an absolutely haunting experience. It’s such a beautifully devastating look at the current Genocide going on in Gaza.
